A new TV spot for Shazam! Fury of the Gods has been shared online (we only have a low-res version for now), and it features some previously unseen footage from David F. Sandberg's upcoming DC Comics sequel.
The teaser includes some more action-packed shots of Shazam and his family taking on the villainous Daughters of Atlas (and their dragon), and we also get to hear Rachel Zegler's Anthea/Athena speak for the first time.
At the end of the spot, the West Side Story star can be seen telling Freddy Freeman - who is almost unrecognizable from the first movie's younger take on the character - that she's over 6,000 years old. Shazam finds this amusing, but assures Athena that she "looks great."
Check out the new promo below, along with Zegler's reaction.
"Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world."
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
