Shazam! Fury of the Gods will introduce three powerful new villains(?) to the DCU in the form of the daughters of Atlas, and thanks to our first look at a series of tie-in Funko POPs, we finally know the real name of Rachel Zegler's character.

The West Side Story star took to Twitter to share an image of the POPs, revealing that the youngest daughter's name is actually Anthea (she will reportedly go by "Anne" in her undercover guise as Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman's schoolmate).

The rest of this first wave of Funkos includes Anthea's older sisters Hespera and Kalypso, Shazam and the adult, superhero versions of his family, and a rather sinister looking unicorn.

From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods stars returning cast members Zachary Levi (Thor: Ragnarok) as Shazam; Asher Angel (Andi Mack) as Billy Batson; Jack Dylan Grazer (It Chapter Two) as Freddy Freeman; Adam Brody (Promising Young Woman) as Super Hero Freddy; Ross Butler (Raya and the Last Dragon) as Super Hero Eugene; Meagan Good (Day Shift) as Super Hero Darla; D.J. Cotrona (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Super Hero Pedro; Grace Caroline Currey (Annabelle: Creation) as Mary Bromfield / Super Hero Mary; Faithe Herman (This Is Us) as Darla Dudley; Ian Chen (A Dog’s Journey) as Eugene Choi; Jovan Armand (Second Chances) as Pedro Pena; Marta Milans (White Lines) as Rosa Vasquez; Cooper Andrews (The Walking Dead) as Victor Vasquez; with Djimon Hounsou (A Quiet Place Part II) as Wizard.

Joining the cast are Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), with Lucy Liu (Kung Fu Panda franchise) and Helen Mirren (F9: The Fast Saga).

Are you looking forward to Shazam! Fury of The Gods? The superhero sequel is set to hit theaters on March 17, 2023.

I can't say I am looking forward to this film.

@Forthas - So the Shazam Family are fighting the daughters of Atlas. Instead of Black Adam. You won't find a bigger Shazam fan than me, and i am not looking forward to this either. Giant fail for WB to give Black Adam his own movie before fighting his arch-nemesis. I was be astonished if Shaz 2 breaks $350 million.

@GeneralZod - Thank you! When I think of superhero films that excite me the most, they typically have villains that are (or seem) intimidating. A villain the hero will have some trouble overcoming. Helen Mirren and Lucy Lui are anything BUT intimidating in any way. So why does this appeal to anyone? Not to mention I am not a fan of slapstick comedy in super hero films.

@Forthas - You've also seen the evolution of CBMs since the first Avengers film in 2013 that blew everything open (in a positive way), and the descent we seem to find ourselves in that began in the Summer of 2021. We both know what the cause is. I hope it gets course-corrected quickly, before it's too late. Not sure if you saw today that the Disney board fired Chapick and re-named Bob Iger as CEO.

@GeneralZod - I did read that! I think there will be a course correction however it may take a year or two to get the current films already shot or far along in development to get through the system. I just hope it does not sour people to CBM's before the course correction is realized!

Please let this movie be good🤞
And hopefully it’ll show the rock not to ignore the comics and make his ego the center of everything.

Sadly my expectations for its box office aren’t great but hopefully it’ll be another fun ride ⚡️

Didn't like the first movie,so I don't think I will enjoy this.

More of a Black Adam fan when it comes to movie versions of these characters.

@marvel72 - Post-modern feminist elements in Hollywood have brought us to a point where a strong male lead in a CBM can no longer fight a strong male antagonist mano-a-mano. That's why this guy is laughing his ass off to the bank.

@GeneralZod - Yup, it's why I'm so against today's movies and shows.

I want to get excited for these movies again and have 2 hours of escapism from the real world but it's hard these days with the preachy crap they keep putting into these movies I do believe it won't last,I think the general public is getting sick and tired of it.

You can see that with the box office returns.

@marvel72 - Yeah. Thank goodness money talks, and I think you are right that this dark period of constrained creativity that we find ourselves in won't last long. Not sure if you heard, but this offers some hope:

First movie was ok. Mark Strong was a good villainous dude, not sure how I feel about the new villains for this.
Let’s just say I have low expectations.

I still think Billy’s character should be Captain Marvel. I never agreed with DC giving him the Wizard’s name. He is the Original Captain Marvel for crying out loud. Looking forward to the movie, though.

Can you imagine if they finally made a Superman film just for the villains to be random Venusians not from the comics? Y'know because of the alien connection.

Really wonder why they're saving Mr Mind for the 3rd one and using original villains for this one. Are they planning on having him be the team-up villain for Captain Marvel & Black Adam to put their differences behind them and defeat or is this team really prepared to never have Adam cross Billie's path?
