Rosario Dawson Has Nothing But Praise For SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

Rosario Dawson thinks the wait for Sin City wasn't necessarily a bad thing as technological advancements will bring a new dimension to the sequel, A Dame To Kill For. Where does the film rank in your most anticipated films of 2013?

When Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is released this October, it will be just a little over 8 years since film audiences made their first trek to Basin City. Over the years, there's been repeated false starts on production for the sequel which left many fans feeling that we'd never see the sequel made. However, filming is well underway at Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios and some of the cast have already completed their time in front of the camera. Below, Rosario Dawson, a principal actor from the first briefly talks about the wait and promises that the sequel will be 'incredible'.

"[Playing Gail again] was fantastic. I’m really excited for the film. I think that it is great that we waited this long to do it because there is all new technology to play with now and it will have us revisiting these characters and this world again in a whole new riveting way just as he did then. I’m wondering what’s going to come out of it when you think of 300 and all this stuff that came out after the first one, what this is going to inspire. It’ll be incredible."

Sin City saw the Hollywood door open for other Frank Miller inspired visual creations including 300 and The Spirit. Will A Dame To Kill For do the same? I'm sure a lot of fans wouldn't mind seeing a live-action adaptation of Batman: Year One or Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.

Rosario knows there would be no 300 without Sin City.

I wonder what Zack Snyder's career would've been like if he'd never made 300 or Watchmen? He'd just be that nameless guy behind that mediocre Dawn of the Dead remake with fast zombies. On the plus side there'd be no Sucker Punch.

"The Spirit" isn't a Frank Miller creation. His terrible film was based on a Will Eisner creation though.

I'm sure she's got good things to say about it, it's her first role in 5 years.

That said, now that Rodriguez has given a pay check to anti-Semite and misogynist (er, that means Nazi-lover woman-hater, folks) Mel Gibson, his movies will never get another cent from me.
