Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse received the spotlight at the Annecy Festival today, and we have some new casting announcements to share.

Shea Whigham (Agent Carter) will lend his voice to Captain George Stacy, Spider-Gwen's father. Jorma Taccone, who voiced the Green Goblin in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will return to this world as The Vulture, while Rachel Dratch (Harley Quinn) will play Miles Morales' high school counsellor.

With this news comes a new still showcasing Miles and Gwen battling out with the movie's big bad, The Spot. Jason Schwartzman (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) will be bringing him to life here, and the villain - usually a joke in the comic books - looks like a serious threat in this blockbuster.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.
