Chris Cooper is a Academy Award winning actor, who has been in countless movies. Best known for his intense roles, Cooper is no stranger to drama. He is well respected by his peers in the acting game and is a solid force in Hollywood. Many know him by his roles in Adaption, American Beauty, Remember Me, and The Bourne Identity. This is Chris Cooper's first comic book movie, and what a way to start it off is by playing Norman Osborn a.k.a the Green Goblin. There are many questions. How will he portray the role? Will they change his appearance? Will he have to lose weight? Will he have to bulk up?

Let's start first with the portrayal. He looks more like the 616 Norman Osborn, with heavy set features. Will he be a schizophrenic? A person with two personalities courtesy of the goblin formula. Personally I think he should. Press the limits of his acting. Let him be the overbearing boss with mood swings and after he takes the goblin formula, portray him getting more and more insane. Or they may go the Ultimate route, where he can change to the Goblin at will. Now his hair, I would like to see his hair done like it is in the comics. Maybe a mix between red and brown. Showing some homage to the comics, but make it look natural. Everybody is getting new hairdos, why not Osborn.

Now, does he have to bulk up? Or lose weight? Now, like I said, he looks like the heavy set Osborn in the 616 comics, but they may want him to slim down to look more like the Ultimate Osborn. If he plays the Green Goblin it probably will be motion capture like the lizard, which Im fine with. Did you see Rhys Ifan, he looked nothing like Curt Connors when he was casted. But when he came out of make-up and wardrobe he was the perfect Curt Connors on screen. Also his acting contributed to that as well. I don't think the make up and wardrobe crew have a problem making Chris Cooper into Norman Osborn, and I think Chris Cooper can pull it off with flying colors.

I think with all the talent and Academy Award winners in this movie, it may be the best acted CBM that we have ever seen.

going the ultimate route would be a bad move because he would be to similar to the lizard in the first movie.

lets get a more comic book looking green goblin that would take on spider-man & not one that looks like he should be fighting iron man.
