Yet another audition tape for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel has found its way online and it definitely looks like we should expect a very different take on Gwen Stacy in the follow-up...

Peter Parker's love interest in Spider-Man: Homecoming was Liz Allen/Toomes, the daughter of The Vulture. Moving into the sequel, it initially appeared as if that role could be given to Michelle (a.k.a. MJ "to her friends") but a recent audition video pointed to Gwen Stacy showing up in the wall-crawler's world. However, Marvel Studios will seemingly be taking the character in a very unexpected direction.

As you may recall, the last audition video which leaked online pointed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Gwen Stacy being a foreign exchange student and now the latest - which features European actress Iris Haller - appears to reinforce that belief. It would make sense for Peter to find himself pining after the new girl in school and this change is actually pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.

I personally don't think Peter's love interest needs to be pushed anymore, five previous Spider-Man movies have pushed love interests and I think Homecoming did a good job just having her there but focusing on the plot.

Let Zandaya be the love interest be it as a variation of Mary Jane or not, let's just focus on the plot and the villain.

Spiderman Homecoming 2 should use C listers to form the Sinister Six, so they dont need to give them a lot of focus, and use Doctor Octopus as the Master Planner.
Spiderman Homecoming 3 needs the Green Goblin
Also am i the only one who thinks Venom cannot work in a film for a few reasons.
1.They usually just do trilogies now, and you need more than 1 film to tell the full story.
2.Doing him in a first film would be to soon.
3.You would need Peter in the black suit for a whole movie, then set up venom for the next, and while venom is great, he isnt really a fitting villain to end a trilogy on.

@Krampus - How are Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus not A listers, Green Goblin is is Spiderman's arch enemy, and before the Death of Gwen Stacy, from what ive heard, it was debatable that his arch enemy was Doc Oct

@Krampus - Oh i see, i mean that 5 of the members should just be c listers, like Shocker and Scorpion, characters who cant work as main villains, and have Doctor Octopus be the leader only A lister, giving him a similar role to what he had in the second season of Spectacular Spiderman. I want Green Goblin in the 3rd film, as the main villain, so they can build him up in the second film,

@Krampus - Yeah Shocker was in Homecoming, i was just giving an example, but its not like he died, so they could include him, and wasnt that Scorpion talking to Vulture on the boat and in prison. I figure they could do Scorpion, Shocker, Mysterio, Rhino, Kraven, and Doc Oct being the main villain

Why is her being European such an issue? Nationality isn't a significant part of Gwen so who cares. Also, she lived in France for a short while in the comics so this isn't anything crazy.
