Spider-Man: Far From Home just became Sony Pictures' highest grossing movie of all-time and that bodes well for fans hoping that the studio will continue working with Marvel Studios.

Now, some new concept art from the movie has been officially released and there's some great stuff here. As well as showing the wall-crawler taking on an entire army of undead Iron Men, we get to see some very quirky alternate illusions that include Spidey facing off with a giant mosquito!

There are also some great keyframes from the epic final battle and very cool shots of the hero battling Molten Man alongside Mysterio in Prague. Seeing how the sequel was brought to life is fascinating but the closer look at scenes which didn't make the final cut are particularly noteworthy.

Though I thought the movie was just OK. I gotta admit the illusion sequence was incredible.

This would've been an awesome shot if they hadn't already begun re-modelling Avengers Tower. In fact, would've been awesome for one of the post-credits scenes to have been Spidey swinging up, landing on there, then they zoom out and it's a four.

The Baxter Building will be in a post-credits scene one day goddammit!

@Nebula -
They never intended it to be the Baxter Building though... always for it to be Oscorp for when the deal with Sony ends.

Primarily so they can introduce the Dark Avengers and have the symbolism of Norman corrupting the entire idea of the Avengers including turning the tower they used to use into his corporate offices.

If Spider-man stays in the MCU then it'll likely be turned into the Baxter Building. If Spider-man leaves the MCU then it'll become Oscorp with Norman Osborn which will set us off into Dark Reign, Dark Avengers, Seige, etc...

Spider-man leaving the MCU gives us the most story potential and the more interesting stories that are more akin to the most highly acclaimed MCU films (Winter Soldier, Civil War)

If he stays we'll be looking at something akin to Spider-verse with crossovers with different versions of Spider-man, a crossover with Venom via the multiverse.

@Scarilian - they can’t use Osborn if the deal falls apart...

Illusion scene made me explode with excitement. Second favorite mcu scene behind the endgame assemble moment. I was strictly on the “mcu shoulda ended with endgame” train despite my love for marvel, but far from home changed that for me and helped me realize I’m still gonna be jerking these movies off for quite some time. Phase 4 announcement only added to that.

OT: High Life, the Robert Pattison flick is premiering in a couple of weeks. I know this was released pretty much everywhere else already, so I ask: is it good and worth the price of going to the cinema?
This is mostly directed towards @tmp3, our resident Pattison fan, but anyone that cares to chime in is welcome to it. 😁

@8thDoctor - I loved High Life, it's probably my second favorite of the year behind Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but it's not for everyone. I'd suggest giving it a shot for sure, Pattinson gives in another great performance (my favorite of the year so far behind Pitt in OUATIH), and I feel like it'd play great on the big screen. It is an art-house film though, and the pace is slower than normal sci-fi, so just forewarning you about that.

@tmp3 - Art-house with glacial pacing, I'll have to go alone then. Thank you!

This would've been a nice scene.

Mysterio was great, but criminally underused. Jake Gyllenhaal needs to return at some point.
