SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Concept Art Reveals Terrifying Alternate Takes On The Zombie Iron Man

Spider-Man: Far From Home is available on Digital platforms and one of the movie's concept artists has now revealed a number of alternate takes on the zombie version of Iron Man from Mysterio's illusion...

Spider-Man may have returned to Sony's "Spider-Verse," but that takes nothing away from the greatness of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The illusion sequence featuring Mysterio is arguably one of the best scenes we've ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and one of its most chilling moments comes when Iron Man rises up from the grave.

Quentin Beck wanted to terrorise Peter Parker and what better way to do so than with a zombie version of his mentor? Now, some newly revealed concept art offers some alternate, even more horrifying takes on that undead version of the Armoured Avenger.

A lot of thought was clearly put into the best way to bring this take on Iron Man "to life" in the Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios sequel, and the entire illusion featured a number of memorable moments similar to this one in a series of scenes that felt like they had been lifted straight from the comic books. If Jon Watts returns for Spider-Man 3, then we'll be very lucky indeed.

Time will tell on that front, but hit the "View List" button below for a full gallery of concept art!

I wish we had gotten a terrifying alternate take where Spidey wasn't constantly propped up by Iron Man

@inkniron - It would've been even more awesome if they set up Uncle Ben in this film and related it to Tony Stark's death with Peter questioning if he should continue with the people he loves dying around him, saving the world or not.

In the scene with the grave, it would've been cool if Peter saw a tombstone with Uncle Ben's name on it, a fractured human hand pops out of the grave and then we see the Zombie Iron Man figure.

@QuietStorm - I wasn't a fan of the movie at all, but that was my favorite part of the flick with no doubt in my mind.

They all look really cool! I wouldn't have minded if the nightmare sequence lasted even longer, it was one of my favorite parts of the movie.

If the scene wasnt a CGI mess then it could have worked, the CGI just was not refined enough.

Honestly wish they had done a Spider-man 2 and actually followed through with the set-up of Peter getting thrown off his game when he was tricked by Mysterio and questioning reality... but they did nothing with that concept beyond the initial trick.

This is a scene that sounds "too soon" on paper, but it just had an amazing execution.
