SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Trailer Description Reveals Plot Details...And It's Not What Any Of Us Expected!

Sony Pictures hasn't released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home but it was shown at CCXP in Brazil and we have a description for you right here! Does Mysterio get his comic book costume?

While it's no doubt disappointing that the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer didn't arrive today as promised, we know it should be here before Into the Spider-Verse arrives in theaters and that means it's just days away from being released online!

In the meantime, we have a lengthy description of the teaser for you and, well, it's fair to say that this movie isn't going to play out the way we expected because there are some surprise villains, a whole new dynamic for Mysterio, and genuinely big surprises.

So, to take a look at this breakdown - which we've put together via social media reactions and various website descriptions to bring you the lengthiest version possible - all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button below. This is going to be amazing...

Romance For Aunt May

The trailer kicks off with what sounds like quite a cute exchange between Peter and Aunt May as we learn that she's supportive of his actions as Spider-Man.

However, things take a rather unexpected turn when Happy Hogan turns up and it instantly becomes clear that he's now romantically involved with the wall-crawler's aunt. See, while we all expected Tony Stark of wanting to get up to no good with her, it was Happy we should have been keeping an eye on!

Travelling Overseas

Heading overseas on what we now know to be a school trip in Europe, it's said that Peter chooses to leave his Spider-Man costume behind because he wishes to just focus on having some fun.

There are then shots of a number of international locations and it's said that we're treated to quite a bit of romantic chemistry between Peter and Zendaya's Michelle (a.k.a. "MJ").

Nick Fury Meets Spider-Man

As Peter and Ned chill out in their hotel room, the wall-crawler's hapless best friend is knocked unconscious after being hit in the neck with a dart. Who is responsible? None other than former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury! He's said to be very happy to finally meet Spider-Man and despite the fact that the young hero is on "vacation," it turns out that he has a job for him...

Familiar Foes Presented In New Ways

We're then treated to some cool shots of Spidey's new suits before it's revealed that Fury wants Peter's help to battle "The Elementals." These creatures have been popping up all over Europe and we catch glimpses of ones made out of sand (Zephyr), water (Hydron), and fire (Magnum).

Yes, these characters are from the comic books and included in a very unique way here.

Mysterio!

Peter isn't the only one trying to help, though; S.H.I.E.L.D. is also relying on Quentin Beck and we get to see him decked out in his comic accurate costume as green smoke wafts from his hands. Does he have the iconic fishbowl helmet? Well, yes, because at the end of the trailer, he's shown decked out in that as he presents himself the hero who has arrived to help save the day!

A New Dynamic

The stinger for the trailer is a scene of Flash Thompson making fun of Peter but here's where things get really interesting. During the panel, Tom Holland revealed that Peter and Mysterio do indeed work together in the film and that they become like "brothers."

Now, common sense says that Mysterio is the one creating these "Elementals" but the dynamic between these two is clearly going to be much different than we expected. It's also said that there's no reference to the events of Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame.

Happy and May? They may or may not be happy. But if May is happy with Happy, then I'm really happy for Happy and May.

LOL PUNS!!1!

But poor Uncle Ben. 😂

So what's the bullshit excuse for why the other guy's article got pulled and replaced?

@RextheKing - did you see who’s the author of this? Nuff said.

@WruceBayne - Oh, I already know who and why, only said anything to point out his bullshit. Quite clear now Nate won't punish him or the other editors, for this crap, so us users need to at least call them out. Figured I'd start it out.

Nah, but seriously - what'd he do now?

@KingJoffrey - Article steal this time. Was off the site for a good minute, but I'd say the original was up a good hour before this one.

@RextheKing - Oh goodness, not again?

And you just know there's gonna' be some kind of lame justification, followed be absolutely no repercussion.

Oh, Josh! Ya did it again!

@RextheKing - I really doubt it. Josh has gotten away with far worse and at this point, we've all kinda just given up.😂

The occasional troll will post an article crapping on him, and if we're lucky we might catch it before it gets deleted. There was one yesterday titled Josh Wilding Has Got To Go.

Didn't catch it, though :(

@KingJoffrey - Well I'm not going to give up; nothing will definitely never change if we do, also I will not give Wilding the satisfaction of "beating us into submission".

Yeah seen a lot of them lately, missed out on a bunch as well.

Case closed, rank amateur.

@RextheKing - I'm not sure what the other article was. You should have tagged me and I could have looked at it.

The fact is that I HAVE reprimanded Josh and I HAVE deleted his posts over user posts when it's warranted. Unfortunately it very rarely is a case of "stealing" other user's posts. I don't make a big post on the site about it celebrating the event, and I don't feel that it would be proper to do so.

Contributors have elevated privileges over regular users. This includes a posting queue where they can have something there while they're working on it. Want to know which post was created first? Look at the article number at the very end of the URL. There's no way to fake that. Usually *That* determines which one stays, unless one is of poor quality or doesn't follow the guidelines.

@NateBest - Honestly I figured the User who article was replaced would have, but I will in the future.

I'm unaware of these instances, so I'll just take your word, but I've personally haven't seen it.

I'm all for editors having elevated privileges, it makes since, but queuing articles is the main source of the problem. When a user post an article, fully and well edited and over an hour later and editor has replaced it, it's not fair to that user. The url number is always the defense of why, but it's not fair in the slightest. If anything allow them to queue an article but a number isn't assigned until the article is posted, so they can't sit on an article for an hour then claim theirs was first.

@NateBest I'm aware of the post @RextheKing is talking about. It featured no proper formatting and was appallingly written...I don't remember the name of the user who posted it but I'm pretty sure they signed up to share what was basically a blog post. In this instance, my article wasn't in the queue unfinished. I'd written it up at midnight my time and woke up at 8am to find that, like an idiot, I hadn't set the correct time on it to go live. After missing an entire might of traffic when this news was breaking, I would have happily deleted mine if a competent contributor had shared their own version as it was my mistake. That wasn't the case, though, so there's no great conspiracy! 😬
NateBest
NateBest - 12/18/2018, 3:31 PM
@RextheKing - The queue has a maximum time limit of 2 hours, which prevents the queue-piling (something that was instituted VERY early on).
