The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

So, nothing too revealing, but a little intriguing nonetheless. The fact we can see Lizards in the first image is more than likely an indication that he's in Curt Connors' laboratory, but what exactly he's looking so concerned about is another thing altogether. StarkIndustries.ru don't mention which publication these scans originated from, but while we're discussing magazines, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the following cover which puts the spotlight on Marvel's The Avengers.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

Hoping he's nothing more than an associate of Norman Osborn, and that he gets killed off at some point cause he was clearly created for the film. So exciting.

I hate how they publicize Iron Fag more than Cap even though, [technically] this is more Cap's sequel than anyone else's. Stupid marketing scheme.

I thought he was announced to play Dr Nels Van Atter who becomes the Proto-Goblin? They obviously changed his name but hopefully he still becomes Proto.

First-shot looks: Like he's about to be Lizard-chow, because he's looking-up at the ceiling, witch makes me beleive, that the Lizard is up there. Second-shot looks: Like he has a gun, because of that "serious-look" on his face. But yeah, that's what it looks like too me.

In the 2nd pick, it looks: Like he's pointing, but maybe, he's got a "gun" and wants to "fire" Conners.

@StephenovDimitri4, it will probably be some kind of "hybird" mixed with: Human and Goblin D.N.A. as what we got with Rhin, from the video game.

^ Hey you, MrHJK, down-here! Except the "hybird-formula" for a few of those, I bet. Rhino, well Lizard, but an intresting-look to say the least. Goblin...hmmmmm would be intresting? What do you think? Ultimate Green Goblin? Maybe? Perhapes? We'll see thouhg...
