Marc Webb Doesn't Regret Being Unable To Finish His AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Trilogy

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ended on something of a cliffhanger with Harry Osborn and The Man in the Hat set to assemble a sinister team of villains. Director Marc Webb talks here about being ok with not ending his trilogy, but why exactly is that? Find out after the jump...

Even if that Sinister Six movie does end up getting made, we're never going to get a satisfying resolution to The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. Of course, it's hard to be too upset about that when the wall-crawler is now a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it turns out that Marc Webb feels the same way.

Talking to Slash Film to promote the Limitless TV series (before Jon Watts was announced as the 2017 reboot's director), the filmmaker had this to say when asked if it feels "bittersweet" to not finish his trilogy. "No, I’m very excited for all the folks at Marvel and what they’re going to do with that character. I think he belongs in that universe and there’s a real excitement to see what they come up with. Maybe we’ll all be on a panel someday, Sam, me and whoever directs it."

That would be fun to see, especially because of the battles both Webb and Raimi reportedly faced with the franchise's former producers. Do you agree that Spider-Man belongs in the MCU?

As always, be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place...
