In a Q&A session for journalists Marc Webb Embraced his love for making the film: "I didn't want to be bound, [I embraced the] 12-year-old-kid in me, the one who thinks 'this is awesome!' There were things I wanted to try, like moving the camera around for the big Electro sequence. I wanted to keep the characters" He then discussed what he thinks about Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams creating the music."They were incredible, really committed to the process of understanding the film, Pharrell and I worked extensively to create a balance between Electro's psychosis and his pathos. He came up with the idea of voices in his head" He then says how the music is a big impact for the film. "There's a scene in Times Square where I had to have Electro switch against Spider-Man and those voices become dominant to help signal that. ... The music literally became part of the character. It's a way to connect the audience to the thought process of the character"

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.
