MORBIUS Director Daniel Espinosa Shares Post-Credit Scenes SPOILERS Ahead Of The Movie's Release MORBIUS Director Daniel Espinosa Shares Post-Credit Scenes SPOILERS Ahead Of The Movie's Release

Earlier today, the official Sony Pictures Twitter account shared an interview with Morbius director Daniel Espinosa in which he revealed detailed spoilers relating to the movie's post-credits scenes.

Well, this is certainly an interesting marketing strategy!

Morbius director Daniel Espinosa took park in an interview with Cinemablend (you can check out his non-spoilery comments here) in which he shared details on the movie's post-credits scenes. The official Sony Pictures Twitter account then retweeted the post with a spoiler warning.

Filmmakers often take part in these type of Q&A sessions a significant amount of time after their movie hits theaters, but it's not something anyone expected to see prior to release! It's worth noting that a plot leak has been doing the rounds online for a while, but Espinosa and the studio have still come in for some backlash for openly discussing spoilers before anyone aside from a handful of fans and critics has had a chance to watch Morbius.

We won't get into them here, but you'll find all the details at the link below.

We're not sure what the thinking behind this is, but initial reactions to the Living Vampire's big-screen debut have not been positive and full reviews are not expected to be much better (the embargo lifts day of release in most locations), so the studio/director may simply be doing whatever they can to put some attention on the movie.

What do you guys think? Did you read the spoilers? Drop us a comment down below.

Hilarious that he spilled the beans before the movie is even out. I have less than 0 reasons to see it now

Definitely not going to see this. All interest has been killed the past week or so

They're really riding on fans to come just for the connections. They know they have a dud on their hands.

Just like a bad tie-in book for a comic event, this one-shot will not be necessary.

I will still see it tho. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SKetCH - It seems like something that could have a 'so bad it's good' quality to it, but I expect watching it would mostly just piss me off.

It sucks, i wanted this movie to at least be passable but i Guess it's not going to be the case

I really hate Sony and their shameless and inept attempts to capitalize on and emulate Marvel's success using the few characters they still manage to hold hostage.

The most intriguing bit is that he says the audience will soon find out which Spider-Man inhabits the Venom/Morbius universe. I'm hoping for Garfield, even though I don't want him to come near to those movies
FinnishDude
FinnishDude - 3/26/2022, 1:07 PM
@bkmeijer1 - I'm happy to sacrifice Garfield over Holland for this crap. He already did two terrible Spider-Man movies, so why not one more?
heisei24
heisei24 - 3/26/2022, 1:26 PM
@bkmeijer1 - They should've just assigned an "empty" Spider-Man to this universe, basically a whole new Spidey with no actors attached to it (or just hire some VA if they want him to speak)
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/26/2022, 3:36 PM
@heisei24 - that would have my preference for the time being. Just seeing him on TV in the background or stuff like that

@bkmeijer1 - my only thing with that is , venom / Eddie clearly had never seen a spider man before based on both NWH scene and the venom scene. So this spider whoever it is has to be new. Unless he’s just somehow avoided national attention. Eddie was shocked to learn he was essentially just another weird guy in the MCU

bkmeijer1 - 3/27/2022, 9:46 AM
@ShimmyShimmyYA - that is a good point. Guess Eddie being across the country from New York might explain that

This movie NEEDS to fail. That’s the only way we can stop this stupid-ass franchise from continuing.

And we can make it happen. All we need to do is just stay home and do nothing the weekend this movie comes out. And in the ensuing weeks, if we do go to the movies, it’ll be to see something that’s actually worth our time and money.

Come on, guys. We can do this.

@MUTO123 - you mean actually skip morbius and wait until ambulance comes out???
MUTO123
MUTO123 - 3/26/2022, 5:46 PM
@Chuck420Taylor - That's a good way to go.

No matter how Ambulance turns out quality-wise, I guarantee it'll be better and more interesting than Morbius.

Sony is dumb as shit. They always have been but people been giving them credit lately because of Into The Spider-Verse and No Way Home and it’s hilarious.

They’ve been sitting on this dud (it has to be at this point right?) for TWO YEARS NOW because they were constantly changing the release date and the film is about to come out in 6 days and the Director spoiled a huge chunk of the film? Lmao what the actual [frick].

If the rumors are true that they’ve been deceiving everyone with their huge easter eggs that’s been front and center for the entire marketing campaign - then I expect them to get some serious backlash.

@TheLobster - NWH is ok, it's just fan service with a lot of plot holes not one want to talk about. ITSV is much better.
TheLobster
TheLobster - 3/26/2022, 1:53 PM
@MILESSPIDERMAN - I would agree with that. The worst part of NWH was Lizard and Sandman with them reusing old footage to show their human forms
OptimusCrime
OptimusCrime - 3/26/2022, 6:54 PM
@TheLobster - if the worst part of a movie is caused because of covid, then its a good movie right?
newhire13
newhire13 - 3/27/2022, 9:19 AM
@TheLobster - If that’s the worst part then that’s a good thing lol
TheLobster
TheLobster - 3/28/2022, 8:28 AM
@OptimusCrime - I guess but it’s not like Lizard and Sandman were utilized well anyways. They could have easily cut the characters from the film altogether.

This movie is going to underperform. It could turn a profit but I don't see it as much money as the Venom movies. And still, Sony will press forward with these spin-offs and try to win the general audience over just like how WB has been doing with the DCEU.

SuperZeroCustmz - 3/27/2022, 2:52 AM
@m1doriya - What exactly about that is a real man thing ...? i'm confused ... Leto playing a pretty kick ass marvel character outside of the Mcu and films ? I think if anyone likes Leto they will sit through another film w/ him horribly portraying another great character so I'm sure everyone who likes Leto will want to see this film . Imo this entire thing seems like what happened after not releasing a faithful film or being confident w/out ties to successful existing films. Hopefully it's at least watchable . I dont want to see Leto pull another Gucci
