MORBIUS International TV Spot Teases The Living Vampire's Connection To Matt Smith's Loxias Crown

A new international TV spot for Morbius reveals more about the connection between Dr. Michael Morbius and Loxias Crown, but is the stage being set for the latter to follow his comic book counterpart?

Sony Pictures has released a new international TV spot for Morbius that, despite being in German, reveals more about Dr. Michael Morbius' relationship with the mysterious Loxias Crown. Both men clearly suffer from the same ailment, but when the good doctor becomes a Living Vampire, he's obviously cured and healthier than ever...despite having an insatiable thirst for blood, that is!

We're betting that Crown ultimately gets his own powers, becoming Hunger (just like his comic book counterpart). Considering this villain is relatively obscure and was only introduced in 1997, Sony Pictures obviously has a lot of freedom to do something completely unique with the character; however, we'd be shocked if he doesn't head down a monstrous path to battle Morbius.

There's not too much longer to go before the movie finally arrives in theaters, so we'll hopefully continue to see more new footage from this one over the coming weeks. Morbius has been hit by numerous delays due to the pandemic, but reshoots wrapped last year, and it's now ready to go.

"One of Marvel's most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius," reads the synopsis. "Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While it seems to be a success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil - or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious urges?"

The cast of Morbius also includes, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. The movie was most recently confirmed (we hope) for an April 1 release in theaters.
