The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Hello all. I'm new to the site. So bare with me :) lol

Love the promo. But i think that all the promos so far make his suit look a bit orange and the eyes way to yellow. :( but thanks to the amazing trailer (pun intended) we know its not the actual colours :)

Unlike the Raimi suit with its reflective highlights, the web-lines simply disappears into red. The Raimi version picked up the light well so always showed the lines on the suit, they're never gonna beat that design with this halloween costume!

Great find josh!

I have very high hopes for this movie from stellar acting,amazing visual effects and an equally amazing (hopefully)plot we will finally see the spider-man we should've seen a long time ago...the only questionable thoughts I have about this movie are if they are going the ang lee hulk route,that would not make well with many people,including myself...geez I hate typing on a smartphone ;P

Have you guys noticed in the second trailer for asm,the pic that Peter is looking at of the debate club has Gwen in it,and if you look really close the photo credits are given to Peter Parker,it's just a neat little touch I picked up on...if you want to see it ,Peter is looking at it before flash throws the basketball at him

Im correlating how Ang Lees hulk had daddy issues that surfaced at the climax of the film,I don't want the whole plot revolving completely around Pete's fathers secret,I still think that peters relationship with uncle Ben and aunt may should have a larger role ,due to the fact his aunt and uncle raised him,not his parents

@TAS616 I have to disagree, It's says in the synopsis that Peter begins to seperate from aunt may and uncle Ben.. Becuase of his fathers brifcase..But this leads to me thinking that uncle bens death will make Peter feel guilty thus driving him to heroism. I feel like its crucial to the spiderman origins that Peter learns about himself and finds out what happens to his parents and learn to admire uncle Ben and aunt may Becuase they raised him.

@spidey 31 ,I understand and respect that notion and I hope what you say holds true...i just don't want them to over-dramatize Pete's concern and interest in his fathers premise and totally under-dramatize the effect that uncle Ben and his subsequent death has on Peter...it would ruin the whole story and I doubt Marc Webb would let that sub-plot go that far,it's just a lingering worry I have...

TASM616 same I do to but it's a small worry. I also think it would be cool if this peters parent story leads to Norman Osborn. I think they were working on his goblin syrum B/C it says they were working on something that could destroy Peter and new York, just a thought.
