Slingers Arc 10

 

 

The Slingers and Silver and Black head to El Ray to bring in Black Tarantula once and for all, and a plan is set up to infiltrate the city and kidnap him to be taken to the Argentinian police, ho specifically want him alive. With the leader gone, El Rey will be in chaos, and while all the criminals compete to fill the power vacuum, the government can launch an assault on it themselves and capture other criminals like Alistair Smythe. The Slingers also plan to save the original Slingers, currently under Smythe’s control as human spider slayers. 

 

Meanwhile, Black Tarantula has secretly left El Rey to visit his teenage son Fabian in America. The mother has custody but he visits as often as he can. He and his son have a nice time going to the movies and having dinner at a beachside restaurant. The fact that when Black Tarantula dies, the secrets of the family line, along with the power over an international criminal organization, will be his. Black Tarantula returns to El Ray, Smythe will kidnap his son, and threaten to kill him unless the secrets of the family line and control of El Rey are given to him, and this greatly complicates the Slingers mission. They end up teaming up with Black Tarantula to save his son and stop the coup, Ben Reilly must battle his Frankenstein Monster, the resurrected Smythe, and after Smythe is seemingly defeated, and the original Slingers forcibly returned to normal by him. Fabian runs off into the jungle, terrified by everything that's happened and this window into his father's life. Silver and Black and both Slingers take Black Tarantula in to the authorities waiting in the jungle, namely the man who hired Silver and Black, Argentinian General Klaus, who then orders the aerial bombing of El Rey. The shocked heroes watch as the entire city is destroyed. The soldiers and Klaus reveal their Spider Slayer enhancements, and the original Slingers are once again transformed. Miles, Silk, and Black Cat escape one way, Kaine, Ben Reilly, Silver Sable, and Sarah another. We learn that General Klaus is working with Smythe, and the reason he wanted Black Tarantula alive, but everyone else in El Rey dead, is because Black Tarantula knows the location of El Dorado in Colombia. Miles, Silk, and Black Cat find Fabian and learn the same. Fabian hasn't learned where it is though, just that it's in Colombia. Fabian demands to go with them to get his father. The team is able to, after a night in the jungle being hunted by Spider Slayers, reunite. Ben has developed a way to track the energy given off by the nano slayer tech, so they can follow Smythe. There is internal strife though between Kaine and Ben, and between the Slingers and Silver and Black after the events of the night. They take Silver Sable’s plane to Colombia, narrowly avoiding capture at the airport and almost being shot out of the sky by General Klaus’s men. Ben tries to create a machine to cancel out the nabo slayers and turn them off the way Smythe temporarily did. The Kaine and Ben tension is increased by not just Ben having brought Smythe to life, but Sarah, who Kaine cares about, taking Ben’s side. Miles is able to get everyone to stop, as it doesn't matter whose fault this is, they just need to catch the bad guy. They’ll catch the villains outside the massive, mountain sized wall around El Dorado, which Black Tarantula has just opened with an ancient combination lock, where everyone will be captured, except Black Cat, a camouflaged Miles, and Silver Sable, who are all sneaking around.  General Klaus will explain his uncle was a Nazi scientist who had gone to El Rey for safety. He learned that Black Tarantulas family line knew the true location of El Dorado, which they had used to amass their fortune. He and his men have gone rogue from the Argentinian government so they can get the treasure. Smythe meanwhile, is working with them in exchange for the blueprints to a weapon the Nazis were building, a doomsday machine capable of wiping out entire cities. THE SUN GUN! A one mile long magnifying glass that fries cities! ( this is real. Nazis actually tried to build it in real life ww2. It's the most comic books thing ever )

 

 

Smythe has always focused his plans on revenge, but he's realized he needs to think bigger. He's still going to destroy his enemies, but he's going to destroy them all at the same time by blowing up New York! Anyway, Miles and Silver and Black sneak in after taking out all of Klaus’s guards around the perimeter. Ben sets up a machine that shuts off nano slayers, freeing all the OG slingers turned slayers, and leaving the remaining soldiers vulnerable, and preventing the new slingers  from being transformed. Smythe will take Fabian hostage, the heroes will team up with Black Tarantula, who reveals he inserted the wrong password on purpose to destroy the city with everyone inside and they have to leave immediately, resulting in a massive earthquake and the city slowly collapsing into a sinkhole. Black Tarantula will (seemingly, he's probably dead but we don't see a body) sacrifice himself to save his son, entrusting Ben Reilly with keeping him. Rielly battles Smythe, still powerful with his cyborg enhancements, in a collapsing pyramid to save the kid, in the end, coming close to killing Smythe, but instead saving both him and Fabian by slingshotting all of them through the roof and into the sky, then creating a parachute and flying off into the jungle. The other heroes do the same, taking the knocked out soldiers and General Klaus with them. They float over the sinkhole that swallowed the city as SHIELD, contacted by Silver Sable, arrive.

Amazing Spiderman arc 16: Extended Family

 

 

The Parker family, after spending the past two years at housing in Avengers Mansion, with only brief leaves to living in different areas, always leading them back to Avengers Mansion for safety reasons, have decided May is old enough  to move into a new apartment permanently. (Reasons include Masters of Evil attacks and Logan, despite being surprisingly good with kids, commonly stabbing ninjas in the head) 

 

May is a bit sad about moving, Peter has a talk with her, about how she’ll still see her friends, and from now on everytime the Avengers call him, she can come too. She starts to get excited over time, and after a little bit of time the family relationship gets back to normal, and they have fun moving into the apartment. In Avengers Mansion though, there was always someone around, be it Squirrel girl or Ghost Rider for May to talk to. She's a bit lonely. Then they discover J Jonah Jameson has just climbed into their home from the window. Peter questions what he's doing, Jameson claims that the Fantastic Four can't cure him, he's been poisoned by Peter's irradiated blood and has Spider Powers now! Also, he's lost his home as he got fired from The Fact Channel for the stuff with the Hound last time I wrote.

 

 

Peter decides to let the guy sleep on their couch out of guilt, and Jonah remains ungrateful. Over time we’ll see Jonah’s numerous uses of Spider Powers, such as: attaching stuff to his body so he can carry things when his hands are full….

 

…..

 

….He's just staying at their apartment. He's not really getting in any exciting adventures.

 

Anyway, MJ will be contacted by her cousin Kristy, who writes a Spiderman vlog/blog. Jameson, after hearing this, will take up angrily reading Kristy’s “Jackpot.com” blog/vlog on the couch, but when questioned by May, tries to be nice and joke around with her, putting on a faux grumpy demeanor to hide his real grumpy demeanor. MJ will give an interview to her cousin Kristy, Jameson will begin giving Peter (with no prompting) his opinions on how to look like less of a menace. 

 

Meanwhile, two issue horror  based arc, a mysterious, and monstrous creature is coming. Slowly, but surely, it makes its way through the pines, killing any hunters who happen to spot it. It's coming now to New York, being drawn to it by an unknown, and irresistible force. As it comes closer, it will take to the rivers, and in a scene out of a horror movie, a tour boat showing New York cities lights from the night will be found the next morning empty, with no sign of what happened. In Central Park homeless people begin to go missing, bodies are found, and Peter, on a late night of crime fighting after MJ and May have already gone to sleep, is found by a homeless man running for his life from a monster, not finding anything, Peter takes him to the NYPD to get a police sketch of a fanged creature with glowing eyes done. Peter, remembering Lizard having gotten his human mind back in reptilian form, but his family remaining monstrous, wonders if they're back in New York, and heads into the sewers. He finds the family, but Conners explains they didn't do anything, but they did get attacked by a screaming red skinned monster. Peter also learns Conners has been traveling with his family across the nation since California, making their way through Subterranea in secret, passing Moloid villages and riding undersea rivers. Conners has been trying to make his family human again,  and while they now look more like scaly sharp toothed humanoids with hair and everything, they are still only at reptilian intelligence. He's come here to grab notes from his old lab. Peter, deciding he wouldn't be able to fight off all three on his own and has bigger problems, lets them pass and is directed to the area of the sewers where the monster is. Peter ends up fighting the Proto-Goblin, a creature he's actually never met before at this. The creature beats him and leaves, uttering the single word “Osborn”

 

We’ll ramp up the tension as Peter thinks of the horrifying possibilities that just that word could mean, and he’ll eventually catch the creature on a rampage through the streets, trapping it in webbing and putting an end to the problem. 

 

Meanwhile, someone is sending Kristy threatening messages on her blog/vlog. She thinks nothing of it, until she starts getting actual letters sent to her home, so now, she's staying at the Parker’s for her own safety. MJ and Peter find this a bit funny, as they moved here to be somewhere quieter  with less people running around. MJ and Peter go searching for the person, while May works on a school science project. Jameson is trying to apply for a job at the daily bugle, which he used to own, but if he returns his job would just be low level reporting and maybe some editorials.

 

Peter will be contacted by an retired-NYPD officer(the one who got slashed up by proto goblin in his first appearance in Spiderman issue Negative one. The man, now having to use a cane for the injuries caused by the  will inform him that he saw the thing the first time it killed, and how it was something created by Oscorp, a savage killing machine, and also show him the newspaper clippings he's collected of the creature being sighted along the east coast Bigfoot style. 

 

Meanwhile, Doc Ock and Anna Maria are gone on honeymoon, and both Parker Industries and Alchemax have been chosen by SHIELD to study the Proto-Goblin. So far they've learned it has Goblin serum in it, and is capable of rudimentary speech. It was once able to speak more, but it's been driven increasingly insane by the longtime affects of the serum. Liz Allen-Osborn has been dealing with her husband being arrested(having taken the fall for crimes she secretly commited as The Rose) and is trying to rebuild Alchemex after what Goblin Nation did to it. She is currently trying to hide the truth about it coming from Oscorp, as she can't allow Alchemex to have any more connections to Goblins. She wants all of that to be in the past. She wants her and the company's future to be goblin-free. 

 

Peter meanwhile, is trying to leave with the help of Morbius, who has history being a mindless bloodthirsty monster but is now taking medicine to remain human, to figure out a way to communicate better with Proto-Goblin to learn what it meant when it spoke about Osborn. Meanwhile, MJ and Kristy have a lead on the hideout of her stalker, who had attacked Kristy in an alley earlier. They actually got the info from Jonah, using some of his old investigative skills. They're briefly seperated, seemingly reunite, then it's discovered MJ is in a different area of the abandoned building and the MJ with Kristy is an imposter. The imposter tries to kill Kristy, real MJ finds her, and the imposter is revealed to be Elyse Nelson, who escapes. 

 

Elyse Nelson is a former model who went insane, wrongly believed she's hideous, and has a vendetta against MJ, which she's continued by becoming the new Chameleon and trying to kill MJ’s relatives one by one starting with Kristy. Kristy is saved, by Elyse escapes, first revealing she has another surprise for MJ’s husband. 

 

Meanwhile, they learn the Proto Goblin came to New York after being taunted by NORMAN OSBORN! We know it's Elyse in disguise. Peter doesn't though. Anyway, Proto Goblin escapes, Morbius is injured, and unable to take his medicine in time, his worst case scenario for the formula happens. By repressing the living Vampire so long, once he transforms again, he's full savage monster, and is visibly more bat like than his vampire form usually looks. Big fight between the Proto goblin, Morbius, and Peter around Alchemex and the streets of New York near it. Jameson shows up to help as he was at the Bugle when he noticed Peter getting the tar beaten out of him by monsters. He puts on a mask to hide his identity, not wanting the revelation of spider powers to cause him to get fired, which delights Peter. Jameson reluctantly admits he gets it now and equally reluctantly apologizes. MJ arrives and they're able to get the drugs Morbius needs into him and Alchemex captures Proto Goblin(in secret though, as far as anyone knows, he escaped) The situation with Elyse is explained.  They wonder when she’ll return. 

 

Next, The Parker family will have to deal with the Lizard and his family having discovered the tribe of Dinosaur people that live in the sewers of new york( look it up. It's a thing in marvel) and has promised to lead them now that Eddie Brock is gone. Stegron the dinosaur man, their creator, has returned however, leading to a civil war between rival dinosaur factions the Parker family must break up (with Kristy following along to get pictures for her blog/vlog. There's protest from MJ and Peter, but she’s stubborn) Stegron is defeated with the heroes help, and Lizard, having gotten the notes he needs from his lab, vows to lead his people to the Savage Land through Subterranea, where they can be safe. Conners has become a tragic hero, trying to protect his people, the dinomen,  while also trying to cure what he himself has done to his family.

Slingers Arc 11: 

 

First Part: The Hound Bites Back

 

This arc is gonna be a way of sorta moving the Silver and Black characters into the Slingers and connect them as one group. The Hound escapes, who I would characterize as a psychopath who thinks he's the hero and Black Cat is the reason for everything wrong in his life despite him setting up his family to die in a crossfire with her old gang. He's woken up from his coma and escaped the hospital to begin killing women who resemble Black Cat. Silver and Black were just wrapping up their business with The Slingers when they have to head back out to find him and stop him. Our team:

 

Miles Morales(leader)

 

Silk(second in command)

 

Black Cat(antagonistic friendship with Silk)

 

Silver Sable(friend and business partner to Black Cat)

 

Ben Reilly( good clone turned bad clone turned good clone again who has been pledged to protect the heir to a South American crime family)

 

Kaine( moody anti hero Clone)

 

Sara Stacy/Ghost Spider( her father is Norman Osborn, and she's here because these people are like a real family to her)

 

Anyway, the Hound will set up an elaborate trap for those hunting him, separating Black Cat from the group as her powers are his only weakness, and using his good luck powers, murder Silver Sable and escape after an epic fight. Black Cat mourns Sable who dies in her arms, and vows vengeance. In private, Ben Reilly will try to end her pain the only way he knows how, offering to try to return Sable to life Frankenstein style.( Sable was a friend to him too) Black Cat freaks out, punches him in the face, and goes off to murder The Hound in vengeance. Ben Reilly is a Parker clone, but he's led a very different life, and is now struggling to mourn for Sable, as the entire team is. It's a learning moment for everyone. This is their first dead teammate. People deal with grief in multiple ways, Kaine's being picking a fight with Ben Rielly. Silk gets really into trying to plan ways to capture The Hound, he's out there, he could come for any of them. She consumes herself in work.  Miles kinda stops everything for a while. He failed. This was his team. Spiderman trusted him, and he failed to keep everyone safe. 

 

Ben thinks that he's experienced so much death as a superhero, and he should be able to do better. He should be saving everybody. He can create a better version of his earlier technology, but it's too risky. 

 

Meanwhile, Hound is on an adrenaline rush from killing a superhero and is off to kill Lily Hollister, former Menace, now Queen Cat. Black Cat finds him, and with the help of Queen Cat, who she's just met now and is wondering about why the former menace is dressed like a knock off black Cat. Felecia must instead of fighting Hound, escape with and injured Lily, learn she's gotten the Goblin serum out of her system and is trying to redeem herself, and they tag team Hound until he realizes he's not as great as he considered himself, and he escapes knowing if he stays longer, that Black Cats luck powers will counteract with his and give them both bad luck, maybe killing him this time. It's his one weakness. He goes into hiding, but they all know he's still out there somewhere. 

 

Silver Sable gets a funeral in Symkaria and Peter Parker attends with the rest of the Slingers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amazing Spiderman Arc 17: 

 

Part one: Goblin War

 

 

Phil Ulrich will escape incarceration, and Kingsley will pay his way out so he can go kill Ulrich, who is trying to restart the Goblin Empire with himself as King. Ben Ulrich will try to stop his nephew and reason with him, and Jonah( who has moved out of the Parker's due to awkwardness and finally being able to buy a new apartment, though his relationship with Peter has improved and they have a newfound respect for each other, despite disagreements) will protect him after he fails. The Parker family must stop the conflict between the two supervillains, and while Ulrich dies in a final battle against Kingsley, who proves himself the one true goblin king, he will be beaten and returned to jail. We then see he's not really in prison, but an Alchemex holding cell. 

Part two: The Squid and The Stunner


Next, some stuff with Doc Ock returning from his honeymoon and joining Peter to deal with the Squid and Stunner, a new supervillain power couple robbing banks. Stunner can now, after some modification to her powers, paralyze people with her beauty, and the Squid, while looking ridiculous, is a real threat. You stop to laugh at him, and soon your caught in his tentacles. The heroes are able to stop them. This is going to be a fun couple, partly because of the ridiculousness of the pairing, and also how into eachother they are. 

 

Part three: Helloween

 

It's Halloween, May can't pick her costume, she's flipping back and forth between different choices, when we get….

to track down Flash Thompson villain Jack O Lantern, who has merged with the demon Blackheart and plans to turn New York cities children into ravenous monsters on Halloween. Agent Toxin will also get involved. BlackHeart  gets to corrupt and destroy humanity, which is his thing, and Jack O Lantern gets to basically kill people by way of transforming them into mindless monsters, which is his thing. It's a spooky Halloween story with some fun mixed with genuine fear, where they have to race to stop the villains from turning people into their costumes. Peter will bring up how this doesn't work to the villains because a bunch of people dress as princesses or astronauts, but the merged supernatural being now calling itself Hack-o-Lantern is alright with this, as it's still going to cause a degree of chaos anyway. While they're unable to stop Hack-O-Lantern in time, May is able to defeat them by putting on a Dr. Strange costume before the spell is cast and using her mastery of Magic to defeat them and return things to normal. Morbius is also able to, with the aid of Jennifer Kale’s magic, make himself able to change back and forth from human to vampire at will. 

 

Morbius and Agent Toxin join the Midnight Sons. 

 

An exorcised Jack O Lantern is arrested, and we learn Liz Allen has placed him, Roderick Kingsley, Proto-Goblin, Gabriel Stacy, Lily Hollister, and Sarah Stacy in an undisclosed facility she claims is inescapable, and filled with lethal traps that will kill all of them if they try to escape. She's tired of Goblins and Ghouls and is ending that part of her life forever, by literally locking it away in a secret supermax. 

 

 

 

 

Slingers Arc 12:

 

From Symkaria with love

 

This is a crossover with the main Spiderman book

 

 

Everyone is in Symkaria for the funeral, Black Cat doesn't know what to do with her life now that her friend is gone. She's inherited the bounty hunting organization Silver and Black from Sable, but she has no idea what to do. Most of the Slingers will return to America, but Parker, Queen Cat, and Ben Reilly will remain. Peter is working with Black Cat to make Silver and Black a subsidiary of Parker Industries. 

 

The Slingers will have to deal with Hydro Man, who has realized he can control all water on earth, and he should hold the Earth hostage. So while this apocalyptic event is going on, what's keeping Parker, Queen Cat, Ben, and Felicia from helping out themselves? The body of Silver Sable has been stolen by Zodiac! 

 

The entire world is on edge in the few days before Hydro Man’s ransom is set to be delivered to him, but these heroes are going after Zodiac. 

 

The other Slingers are teaming up with MJ and May to deal with Hydro Man, who are getting Sand Man, hoping he can help them beat Hydro Man. It will be revealed that the new Zodiac is run by Scorpion(taking the place of Scorpio, who since the ManiacHatten arc, has gotten out of prison and has been building up power as a crime lord/weapons runner overseas)He's ended up the head of the international terrorist organization Zodiac. He plans to, by resurrecting Silver Sable, using her very particular skill set combined with the power Zodiac to dismantle the Symkarian government. The others of the eleven( there should be twelve but Sagittarius is missing) Zodiac signs? Well they are the illegitimate children of the man who killed Peter Parker's parents, the communist Imposter Red Skull Albert Malik! They've united under his ideology and while Scorpion believes he's the one in charge, they also believe they're in charge. This has some added inter group tension and we’ll eventually see a conflict come from this. They plan to resurrect Sable and make her Sagitarius. Do to so, they also kidnap Ben Reilly, who refuses to use this skill he's learned, even under torture, for evil. Eventually, Rielly is saved, the Zodiac is forced to retreat for now. The body is recovered and put to rest. Black Cat says goodbye. 

 

Meanwhile, Hydro Man battles Sandman in New York, and May befriends Sandman’s daughter Keemia Alavardo.

Sandman, who has been on and off hero and villain in the past, will be proving his heroism, having decided to end his life of crime for the sake of his daughter.


Black Cat, Queen Cat, Ben Reilly, and Peter return to the states where a giant SandMan battles a giant Hydro Man. Eventually, Hydro Man is defeated, with Sandman giving his all to protect his daughter, who is briefly taken and nearly drowned by HydroMan,

 and solidifying his heroism. In the aftermath. Black Cat has realized she needs to keep moving, a problem she's been dealing with since Silver Sable died. She needs to keep going, she didn't know what to do with her life, now she does. Throughout this story, Lily Hollister has been helping out, so Black Cat offers her a job at the Silver and Black International. 

Peter is proud of Sandman, and we see their kids build sand castles at the beach. 

 

Later, a mystery group(Alchemex) kidnaps Sarah Stacy and Lily Hollister. 

 

Next time, we’ll continue the Liz Allen story, as well as another very exciting  story. Something I call
