In a joint statement, the New York City Police Department and the Mayor’s office officially closed their investigation into gross and systematic ethics abuses at Oscorp Industries. Shockingly, the investigation resulted in no discovery of criminal mischief or charges filed, despite the indisputable fact that a lizard man rampaged through the city last year, causing millions of dollars in damage.

The closing of the investigation comes amidst rumors that Oscorp threatened to rescind the discounts they are providing the city for the completion of the new prototype power station.

The grand opening of the Oscorp Power Grid on the Lower East Side of Manhattan is planned for April 16. The grid is expected to provide renewable, clean electromagnetic energy to the city and reduce costs to consumers by forty percent - if it doesn’t blow up the city first, of course.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones in an unspecified role

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

Living in a comic book world sounds awful. You always have to worry about enigmatic corporations building horrifying contraptions that could be used for total destruction if they fall into the wrong hands

Heh, yeah. Or winding up on the "unfriendly" end of a dude with a rhino's horn for a forehead. Or being eviscerated by another bloke dressed like a Scorpion. Or falling into a trapdoor because of some arsehole with a fishbowl for a head.

It's kind of a funny way to go, actually. If I went out like that, and nobody cracked a joke, my ghost would be severely disappointed.

It's comedy gold, goddammit.

The virals for this have been one of the best. Love the Bugle updates, hopefully they'll go daily closer to the film's release.

I think I'd get, like.. a 0.5 second moment of silence before someone just goes "eh, f*ck 'im.. he kept drinking all our booze".

In the comic world anyone you piss off becomes your mortal enemy. There is no talking about it. There is no getting over it, and they never forget why they are mad. It's an ugly world. But if I could fly or had a healing factor it would be worth it.

Oscorp could be bribing the Judicial System since they are a company which makes a lot of money, hence why they are cleared of the charges put forth unto the company.
