With The Amazing Spider-Man set to be released next July, and Man of Steel a little under a year after that, it's a very exciting time to be a comic book fan. However, these two iconic superheroes have both undergone something of a makeover for their respective movies. While they're still instantly recognizable, Spider-Man has donned a pair of sneakers, lost his belt and instead has a fairly drastically different looking design of the classic red and blue. Superman meanwhile has lost his red trunks, the symbol on his cape and has an all round darker, slightly more alien look. The question now of course, is which of these new designs you guys think is best! And here is your chance to decide...

Spider-Man's seems too "all over the place" with the colors.

This is kinda weird to say this since Spidey's my favorite comic character, but I personally prefer Superman's suit. It's closer to what I wanted the suit to be than Spider-Man's was (the mask sucks IMO).

I like both. The recent pictures would have me leaning more towards Superman, but I hate capes. Spider-Man.

Spider-Man's Red pants stripe kills it for me. While I love the Superman costume, I always felt his should feel more uniform. I always felt Parkers should be more wild and Sporty.

Both meet and miss the mark of my personal opinion on how the costumes should be. But I'm okay with Spider-Man, need to see it in person. I love the Superman costume.

I'd Superman because minus the absent trunk and the added designs it's still pretty much the Superman suit we all recognize. The Spider-Man suit has a lot of added and removed designs. He's got shades on his eyes and sneaker rubber on his feet. I guess really the Superman wins out for me because it isn't as odd as the Spider-Man suit. Also, the webbing on the costume is less like a web and more like straight lines.

Superman's suit looks like alien tailored. Spider-man's looks like a suit made with ripped apart basketballs and it also looks like a male teen went out of his way to make himself garters to keep his spider sneakers on. Although Superman's suit has similar lines down his legs, they aren't bright red or connected to his boots so they get a pass. However, i'm not a fan of the "S" design. But the cape is spectacular. So Sup's the winner by a landslide in my book.

Both are Meh to me,I thought I was being a bit of a Marvel fan boy, for not liking the new Superman threads, but I'm not overly fond of the new Spidey look either. Both stray to far from the classic look, nut then I love the movie costumes for Cap and Thor so what the hell do I know?
Gut reaction is I wanted something closer to classic look for both, but can live with both if their movies are good.

Supes'. Yes, it's different a bit and it doesn't have the shorts but atleast it doesn't look bad unlike Spidey's. I swear that's the gayest looking costume yet, no joke.

There was nothing wrong with Spiderman's suit from Raimi's movies. The only reason they changed it is because they had to, to distinguish the new movie.
It may look cool today, but you can just tell that 20 years from now it's going to look VERY dated - were as the Raimi suit is classic and timeless.

Supes looks good, frankly I'm much more impressed by Cavill's willingness to bulk up as much as he did. I REALLY wish they had gone with Alex Ross' 'S' emblem, only with yellow, instead of black. The design iss so simple and elemental, it's perfect!:

Both of them are straight up awesome. And here there are more Superman fans than Spider-Man, so I think we all know who is going to win. BTW I love how Marc Webb and Zack Snyder are both making there suit ORIGINAL in stead of making the same old suit we have seen time, and time again.

I think Spider-Man's suit is imperfect, and for the Movie "The Amazing Spider-Man" I think it is perfect, it looks like a suit that someone could make(and by someone I mean anyone)UNLIKE the old rami suit, it looked like a ton of people that when to Collage to make a suit like that, would make, and I didn't believe that he made it.

i dont know whats going on with this leg stripe craze but leg stripes look [frick]in dumb most of the time .



besides that id have to give it up to supes its more faitful then fruitrollup basketball spidermans

and that hurts to say that cus i love me some spiderman

i love superman also but supes only reall has one big fail on it , while the spiderman one has 2 many to count.

Superman's is a lot better. I still like Spidey's, but I'm really digging the new threads for Superman. Been hoping they would get rid of the trunks for a long time now. At least for live action.

No matter how good a movie is, it will never make me like garters. Hell, i've watch too many pornos to not acknowledge this. Never been a fan of garters even on women, let alone superheroes.

Only small children and simple people would call Raimi's Spider-Man films 'perfect'.

Those three films were absolutely terrible and filled with problems that made the films impossible to like for any normal person or real Spidey fan.

The films were badly cast, badly acted, badly written, way too campy, too cheesy, too childish, too inaccurate to Stan Lee's comics and featured too much terrible CGI.

It was vital that Spider-Man got an early reboot and this time it will be a good film.
