POLL: What Did You Think Of The (Low Quality) Amazing Spider-Man Teaser?

In the space of a little over a week we have had the teaser trailers for 3 of next years biggest CBMs leak online in crappy quality. Tighten up security boys and girls! Anyway, this didn't stop us giving you a glimpse if you wanted to have one.

The latest trailer was for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. Now the quality here was pretty lousy, but if you did choose to watch you will have made out the dialog, the look(although in awful quality) and maybe the tone that Webb is going for with this one. Hint: It seems to be quite a bit darker(and I don't just mean the quality!). So based on what you can glean from it until we have the high res version, what did you think?

It was good to me, I don't know why people complain about the dark tone. Damn near all of spiderman's stories are dark, its just that he manages to keep a good spirit and remain funny through his darkest moments!

So now can someone explain why hes not shooting organic webs when he got bit by a spider? anyone care to elaborate here?

I gave in and watched it.

LOVE, the more "real", as you would call it, feel to it.

Feels unlike any other CBM out there. Yes, its closest to Batman in that sense, but otherwise, it is NOT like a Nolan-ized Spidey. This is dark it that sense. Its mysterious, moody, contemporary, but not dark. There's a difference imo.

Its going away from the feeling of being in a comic book to being in the real world.

I really liked the way this movie looks. Hopefully it really turns out to be an outstanding movie. But I am officially hyped.

I was a bit underwhelmed myself. But just a teaser, and a crappy quality one at that. Still, until I see something else to excite me, it was decent verging on meh.

@teabag...im glad we think alike. POV is fine if you are actually participating....but otherwise ...diifferent angles and views are simply the best.

It looks way more mature and true to the source than the Raimi movies.

@naterator
In the comics, all the spider bite gave to Peter Parker was super strength, enhance agility, spider sense and the ability to clinge on surfaces. Due to the fact that he was nerd in science, Peter created both web shooters and web fluid so he can be seen to actually have all the abilities of a spider.

Iguess the reason they would really leave out the organic webs, so they can at least give Spider Man a sense of weakness by running out of webbing when he most need it. Honestly that seems better since it seems cooler that he can create something like the web shooters due to being smart; much like Batman with all his equipment.

lol. @CovertAvenger: Andrew Giraffe, i mean, Garfield is gonna be the butt of all jokes after this movie comes out!

POV sucked. All those scenes look horribly fake. I think it's cooler to actually be able to see Spiderman slinging through the city and periodically zooming in to show his webshooters or anything else they wanted to emphasize on.

The trailer shows nothing special. Doesn't change my perception of this movie. I don't think it's gonna be that good. Maybe an official trailer can change my mind? Or maybe Gwen Stacy dying? I have been waiting for that scene for years!!

maybe this is a dumb question, but where is the trailer? I dont see a link to it on the main page, and the news page isn't working right now. This thread doesn't have a video of it. Like I said, maybe I am completely missing something but I dont see where the trailer is.

I'm sold. The Dark Spider Knight Returns.

I hope it isn't scary for kids like TDKR. I saw dudes bring their 3-4 year old to TDKR, and felt terrible for those kids. Sometimes comic book movies can be towards kids and not us grown up nerds.

I thought the trailer was pretty good and the first person view was great. Although, I like watching Spidey's full body as he web swings and crawls.

[frick]ing brilliant. Webb is obviously looking to dethrone "The Dark Knight", and from the looks of this I'll say he has a shot. The change in tone could be an issue that divides most fans. As long as we still get a wise cracking Peter Parker and not a sullen, angst ridden teenage version I think it will work. Of course there will always be people who enjoy the campier more colorful version, but personally I think this works better for me. I want to see how Webb would've treated Venom. I think he would've given us the Venom we wanted to see. I think with this style we'll be able to see some adversaries who are actually SCARY, no the campy looking circus acts we got from Raimi. Not to sound too critical of Raimi mind you, because I am a fan of the first two Raimi films. I just think that this interpretation looks very promising, and I for one am very excited.
