Respect The Drip: Adidas Reveals Sleek New Kicks Inspired By MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES

When Miles Morales swings onto PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this week, he'll be doing so in style. Adidas has unveiled a new sneaker created in collaboration with Insomniac Games, PlayStation and Marvel Games.

Leading up to the Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game's launch this week, developer Insomniac Games has been sharing some of the new outfits and costumes Miles will be wearing in the game. But his look isn't complete without some fresh kicks, which is where adidas comes in.

We know Miles is a stylish teenager from Brooklyn who has just moved to Harlem. In the beginning of the game he has designed his own Spider Suit out of sportswear, everyday clothing he loves to wear. But it wouldn’t be a Spider-Man suit without some serious drip, and Miles needed some killer sneakers to complete the look. As you sneakerheads can attest, a huge part of being yourself is the style you slip onto your feet.

As you'll see in the game, Miles will be donning a specially created adidas Superstar sneaker -- a design that celebrates the sneaker's 50th anniversary while properly respresenting Miles and his home.

"It’s a classic design, connected to New York, and quintessentially adidas. We chose to exhibit the timeless colors for which he’s most known: the black suit with the red spider icon," explained Insomniac community director James Stevenson.

Miles will wear both the Hi-Top and Low-Top Superstar silhouettes with select suits in the game. Adidas will also be offering a limited run of adidas originals, the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Superstar, available for purchase in real life.

The Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Superstar sneakers will be available in the US, Canada, and select markets in the Asia-Pacific region on November 19 and will arrive in select European markets on December 4. Pricing has not been announced.

Check out the specially designed Marvel's Spider-man: Miles Morales Superstar sneakers below, and get ready for the game to drop on PlayStation on November 12.

@Equivocal - Didn't even know New Balance had Spiedy shoes! That's so cool. I've got a couple Vans ones and the Avengers Cap America Adidas. Have you checked out a company called POZU? They have licenses Star Wars shoes, some look like the ones in the films and other have prints of characters and ships and such. Very cool stuff!

@BlackBeltJones - that's true especially for when those 1's came out but c'mon man. We don't keep those two together. As long as Nike sign people under their umbrella and Jordan sign people under his own they'll always be

@BlackBeltJones @QuietStorm @MyCoolYoung - Those are the OG Miles Morales ones from Into the Spider-verse. Really, really nice. Last I saw they were going for about $500-600, which is pretty good for $160 retail.

@MyCoolYoung - I'm a Tracy McGrady guy myself, the T-Mac 2's were the first shoe I ever owned that cost over $100. But to this day the T-Mac 3's are my favorite!

@LongMayHeReign - the tmac 1's and allen Iverson a5(reebok I know) will always have a soft spot in my heart. I was speaking towards what Adidas make now though. I dont feel the dames and hardens. Those T-Mac's go crazy though

I'm guessing they couldn't get with Nike due to rights/licensing issues

@ANewPope - hurts my heart they couldn't.

It's not even just about Miles. Jordan is as culturally important for NY as a pair of butter Timbs, which they gave Miles in another in-game suit.
