Speculation: The Amazing Spider-Man

Speculation: The Amazing Spider-Man

I think I found out the "Man in shadows" at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man. It's not Mysterio, Electro OR Norman Osborn.

Now, I know this has been the great debate. I was on youtube and I decided to watch that credits scene again and I think I came across the answer that never occured to me and it invloves Dr.Curt Connors A.K.A The Lizard.

So, what is my big idea? Well, no one explained whether the antidote fully got rid of the reptillian foe. Just like in the comics, Dr.Connors is never fully cured. The man is possibly a hallucination of Connors mind because The Lizard serum never fully wore off. It makes sense. At least to me anyways. I am not saying he's the villain in the sequel, despite the fact that I LOVED his portrayal in the movie. He should not be the villain in the sequel. Although, he could play a pivotal part in it.

This theory has been brought up about 60,000 times.

In truth, all of these articles, regardless of whether the theories are similar, original, or carbon copies... they've got reduced to this:

And it sucks. I now have ZERO interest in the "mysterious" direction the sequel will take, and will probably have my brain turned off when I inevitably DO see it. That may be a good thing - it might help me enjoy it better.

I think it was the Shockmaster.

I'm pretty sure that's Electro. Remember the rain at the beginning, and the breaking at the Parker's house. I think it'll be revealed that Electro is a henchman for someone else other than Osborn, a criminal that uses the Oscorp resources. It could be Kingpin or Tombstone.

i am prety sure its not him but its mystrio i mean TASM 2 could have 2 villans that cannot be the goblin. what i think will happen is in TASM 2 the cure for norman is developing and at the end the cure had a side affect that turned him into a goblin and boom you have a story for TASM 3 where gwen dies and we have a sad ending or bring mary jane up in TASM 2 where she meets peter but have no realationship but it develops in 3 and after gwen dies peter falls in love with mj.....nuff said

I was just thinking that when Marvel gets back Daredevil the Gillian will likely be Kingpin. They could then give kingpin a cameo in spiderman 2 to loosely tie it to the MCU.

Already been told, and Ifans isn't signed to do the sequel.

@TheLizard1

Don't apologize for what you believed to be valid information. You didn't know this theory was out there, and I didn't either. So, thank you for putting forth your ideas. It is a very valid theory.

@comiccow6 and @CorndogBurglar

Hey, assholes! How about you take your snarky ass comments to another site? You don't like the info or already know about it, then move on to another post or get your information on some other site.

Probably Osborn. Just a hallucination of Connors. They are setting up for the death of Gwen. Hopefully we will see Chameleon as the secondary villain in 2, and Electro as the main baddie. Really want to see Scorpion, but we just had a villain with a tail.

The thing is, no one knows who it is. Literally no one. Not Mark Webb, not Rhys Ifans, no one. They can make it whoever they want to be, thats why he is silhouetted. Rhys has said its not Norman Osborn. But hey, if Gobby is the main villain in ASM2, then it will be. If Electro is the main villain, same with him. We won't know until they announce more about ASM2. I was 100% sure it was osborn until Rhys said it wasn't. Its fully open for interpretation.

My money is still on Mysterio, though with the whole cross species thing I have my doubts. Honestly though there aren't many people that can just magically disappear into the shadows without anyone knowing. If not Mysterio, definitely Electro
