SPIDER-MAN: Sony Releases Several MCU Scenes In 4K Including FAR FROM HOME's Mysterio Illusion Fight

Sony Pictures has released a number of 4K scenes from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, including that standout illusion sequence that saw the wall-crawler go to war with Mysterio.

As we write this, there's unfortunately still no official word on when Spider-Man: No Way Home is going to be released on Digital and Blu-ray formats. Sony Pictures is one of the only studios to remain fully committed to the theatrical experience in this "pandemic era," and the box office performance of movies like this one and Uncharted proves their approach is working.

While we wait for news on that front, Sony Pictures has just released several 4K clips from Peter Parker's MCU adventures on the official Spider-Man YouTube channel.

Among them are Spidey's visit to the Washington Monument in Spider-Man: Homecoming, his first clash with The Vulture, Adrian Toomes' impressive weaponry, and the wall-crawler's "night in the suburbs." Peter's fight with Hydro-Man in Spider-Man: Far From Home has also been shared, as has the sequel's spectacular illusion sequence pitting the hero against Mysterio.

Considered by many to be one of the best sequences in the entire MCU, it's great to finally watch this online in 4K and relive so many of those standout moments from this mind-bending showdown.

While Quentin Beck was ultimately killed during his final confrontation with Spider-Man, there had been tentative plans for Mysterio to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That didn't happen, of course, though the movie's writers recently shed some light on why he never made the cut.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently playing in theaters.

Spider-Man vs Mysterio may be one of the best 1v1 superhero/villain fight since the train sequence in Spider-Man 2.
