Stunt Scene Description For Spider-Man Reboot Reveals TWO Webheads!

Earlier today, dozens of images from the Los Angeles set of Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot revealed Spidey suited up, taking on a "car burglar". And while the same suit we've seen in images prior to this was on the scene, so was another though "dark-eyed". Well, the folks at MTV have received a description from the photographer of the images below, which includes both spider-men, revealing exactly what they saw unfold as the cameras rolled.

"The Spider Man Reboot films a scene involving a car burglar and two Spider-Man's which both appear on camera. In the scene, Andrew Garfield in character as Spider-Man is hiding in the back seat of a car that a car burglar attempts to steal. The spooked thief exits the car to escape but is taken down by a second Spider-Man as Spider-Man number one (Garfield) watches the action through the backseat window. Both Spider man's were also seen rehearsing a stunt together while covered in trench coats."

Could this be identical to the near-opening scene of The Dark Knight? Are the suits in the reboot's universe available to anyone? Could this suit in fact be an early version? What do you think?

Anyhow, we'll know once Spider-Man swings back in theaters on July 3, in 3D.

I think there just talking about the stunts really, if not then I am confused, oh and I like the fact that a lot of the stunts are done practically

most likely someone dressed up as spidey to frame him like it always happens in shows and comics, this explains the cops chasing him

I saw this over at MTV, what the hell is going on! They must not have been shooting the proper scene and just doing rehearsals or something...right??

I dont think theyd make Andrew Garfield sit and hide in the back seat of a car to just have someone else practice a stunt.

@CANICK,
ok we understand that but, if it was just a stuntman the costumes would be exactly the same so we would not see the difference, but this obviously not the case

Also If it were a Stuntman or something theyd have the same costume mask, not different ones. And You cut scenes in movies so you dont have to make the actors sit in the backseat of a car while another scene is going on.

They wouldn't use the Ben Reilly story in this surely?

My bet is its a copycat, like the fake batman at the start of TDK.

If this isn't better than the 3rd film they should really stop making these. Also, if Venom happens to make an appearance, I expect nothing less than a hulking monstrosity. I still get a bad taste in my mouth when I think of Topher Grace. Really, TOpher Grace as Venom? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!!!!!!

im pretty sure its just the stuntman, with the last scene having Spidey jump inside the car, thug runs out,Spidey flys out and takes him out.

and is the black eye-pieces the official mask? it looks badass, and reminds me of the alex ross suits mask.
XxSnakeProxX
XxSnakeProxX - 2/4/2011, 10:49 AM
my guess is Andrew was in the car to see the stunt acted out,and to hide from the people with cameras.

Since they changed up the design of the suit they might as well have given a nod to Alex Ross' original Spidey movie suit design and gone with the black eyes.

I have to agree with IronAngelX, black lenses look better on this suit.

guys it says: 'Spider-Man number one (Garfield) watches the action through the backseat window.' There will be 2 spidermans in this film scene, its not just a stunt double
Toshitheshadow
Toshitheshadow - 2/4/2011, 11:13 AM
Nah!!! IT's gotta be a stunt scene, right? If it isn't, it may be a scene with THE CHAMELEON(pretending to be Spiderman) and that's his right hand man. Most likely, his thug tried to get away with a stolen car when Spider-man arrives and BEATS the henchman up!!!!! The CHAMELEON then fights with Spider-man and gets his butt WHOOPED!! Spidey saves the day again. OR it may just be a stunt scene.
