I think the problem is no one seems to realise that based on the information we've had about The Amazing Spider-Man it is going to be very different from the Raimi series and a very fresh take on Spider-Man that is going to give us something we have not seen before. They might be retelling the origin story but the overall story arc is going to be different, e.g. the trailer revealed that Peter's parents will be involved. I believe that a new trailer revealing more about the plot and showing more of Spidey in action may convert people as I've heard that the footage shown at the San Diago Comic Con this year was pretty awesome. In my opinion, all the signs point to this being a very good movie that will redefine Spider-Man on the big screen and I for one am looking forward to it if nobody else is.

I'll give it a (TINY) chance, but Raimi's Spiderman is still my favorite. But I'm willing to have a change of heart if the new one is good. I just don't think it will do well with audiences abroad.

I would actually be behind them if they did the Miles Morales movie of Spidey, but then the audience would be questioning remarkable questions as well as stupid ones. Life will never really be a nice cup of fresh green tea. Now that's what I could do with!

My issue with Miles Morales, is mainly that he should have been an entirely different super-hero, not just a colored-Spiderman. In the Ultimate universe things are diverse, sure, but seriously. This kid has an interesting story, but I don't know, it's just really weird not to mention the kid is in middle school. I hope Peter is cloned or revived somehow cause to me, without the real Spiderman, Marvel Comics are dead.

I just think they should have waited a few more years to bring the franchise back. Just too soon.\
