Legacy FX's Contributions

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray November 9th.

I am still not really sold on the design of the outfit they went with. I know why they couldn't use the actual suit as would identical to the first trilogy of movies, but seeing as the comics have re-designed the iconic suit giving it a sense of individuality, yet retaining the same look, I felt the movie design team could have done the same

Meh. Most of the designs including the ones used in the film looked terrible. Especially Spidey's suit.

Why does every concept art looks better than the final product?

Also, as much as liked the Garfield's Spider-Man, the Lizard was absolutely terrible in the movie.

Lizard is one of my favorite Spidey villains, wish I was more impressed by his first film interpretation :/

I thought the Lizard looked pretty cool in the movie but his motivation wasn't fully explained. It could have been better. The movie was good though I enjoyed it.

I excited to see what Webb and Garfield can do with the character now that the origin is out of the way an they have him established in high school with Gwen in this universe.

I'll say it again, I fully enjoyed this movie and have a couple friends that liked it more than Avengers (a little crazy, I know). I thought the action was beautiful, Lizard looks just like his first incarnation in the comics, and Garfield captured the cool geeky side of Peter like Toby never could. I loved it and can't wait for the sequel!

I don't really mind the lizard design but he was not a good villian, very weak in the story aspect of things. If his family was included maybe he would be better. I hope the sequel will include a stronger villian, perhaps a mind tripper like chameleon. Have high expectations for the sequel, there is quite a bit of potential.

They should've given Lizard the labcoat throughout. He looked unique in the one scene he had it on. Without it, he looked like a generic mutant henchman thing.

You're gonna try to turn this into some boring, obnoxious flame war aren't you? Well, I won't be reading your responses so in advance...

@ Spidey23

LOL

The Lizard/Connos was a weak link in my opinion, he should have had a more warmer relationship with Peter like Otto did in Spider-Man 2. They also should have made it his own decision to experiment on himself, that pressure from the suits gag is played out.

As for the mutant rat - that was just dumb. A highly intelligent guy with a penchant for photography is unable to take a picture with his cell phone as evidence to convince the cops? Rather than waste our time they should have cut it out of the movie or used that as the after credits - shown Ratha or someone running experiments on it.

Anyways spilt milk and all that
