While doing promos for "Drag Me to Hell," Spider-Man director Sam Raimi seemed to confirm Morbius would be a part of Spider-Man 4...

While not coming out and saying it, Raimi went on so much about the sexiness of Vampires that you can tell he's spent a lot of time thinking about Morbius as the villain. Maybe that is one way he can kill off Kirsten Dunst?

lulz That's ok with me. Morbius is pretty cool. I just hope they make it like the comic. Micheal Morbius used science and experimented on himself and that was what turned him into Morbius: The Living Vampire. So named because the guy never actually died.

The only way it would be lame would be if they cut out all that and just made him a plain old boring non Marvel - icious vampire.

I dunno, i still think he might be trying to throw the fans off the scent with this..he seems almost too forthcoming about how much he likes the character..maybe he will use him somewhere down the line but i dont think it will be in the next movie

Just as long as we dont see any vampire spiders I'll be happy. I've never read a single spiderman comic with Morbius or any other vampire in it. Are these good stories?

I know Raimi likes vampires. He did, "Innocent Blood" which I love. I might be the only one that loves this movie. Classic Raimi. Horror with a little bit of humor. A brutal mob boss (Ray Loggia) gets infected and turns into a really powerful vampire. Its wacky!

lol i know nothing about morbius but i like vampires fine...and raimi did do good with introdrucing a bit of doc oct with his "horror" scene so it shows there is a balance that can be acheived but it just seems stupid to not go with other big name villains,like vulture,lizard,carnage etc

Yeah betty, wasn't that where he asked the girl to eat something he really really liked in saying "Mangia Mangia!!!" right??? I remember liking the movie but not loving it since no vampire had any fangs in that film.

And i for one have always disliked Morbius. I've always concidered him lame compared to Blade. I'm just not into all these "science experiments" gone ary. But i do agree that making him a simple ol vampire would suck even more. I just hope they don't use him. AT ALL!!!

As for who would play him, i've always wanted to see Dougray Scott as a vampire. But i guess he'd be too old to be Felicia's lab partner.

Morbius would make a better BLADE or DOCTOR STRANGE villian. It's a throw off, MOST DEF!

Yeah Yohon, Morbius is a good guy. He'll probably be an almost villain at first and then Spidey's buddy by the end of the film. Morbius will be there in the nick of time to save spidey from carnage or the lizard.

The Lizard or carnage would leave bite or slash marks on their victims. It could get confusing and Spidey could think it was Morbius. Sounds lame enough to go in a movie. Eh?

There are too many vampire stories out recently, between the Underworld movies and the Twilight films and the one on HBO. We don't need Spiderman vs. the vampire. I don't think that would generate the level of interest that another villain would.

And there is NOTHING in that clip that shows that Raimey has chosen Morbius, just that he considered the possibility.

And there we'll learn that it wasn't Sandman who actually killed uncle ben, it was all a ruse by Mysterio, SM3 never actually happened and Venom will be back for some "federal pound me in the ass prison" action and he'll give birth to carnage and all our dreams will come true.

Morbius could work but probably not as the MAIN focus of the film. As everyone has been saying The Lizard should be the next villian after all that work they put in to setting up Doc. Connors. It just seems to make sense, and people who don't keep up with the comics and know of the Lizards origin, it would be a nice twist of events for them. A big dramatic conflicting element in the sense that Connors is very much Peter's mentor.

Gotta correct myself. Raimi didnt do Innocent Blood. It was John Landis. Raimi was just in it. Small part. He was the guy in the huge meat cooler that Loggia was sleeping and eating in.

I seriously won't see this movie if Morbius is the main antagonist. I could easily accept him as a secondary villain in a story that features another ESU accident, Lizard. I'd rather not see Morbius at all onscreen. Personally, I take the filming in Europe to mean Norman Osborn will be around and setting up to take Spidey down, via Sinister Six eventually.

Morbius, awe crap. Come on there are way better villains Lizard Kraven,Mysterio, Green Goblin, Hydroman, Electro Scorpion, Rhino, SHocker!

I sadly was expecting this, Sam has said everal times that he likes Morbius. I only pray to the Comic Gods(Stan Lee/ Jack Kirby) that this does not turn into Twilight. I will kill someone!

I like Morbius for 4, if they do his characters origin similarly to the cartoon(without the censorship) then I think it will be a very good lead in to Lizard for 5.

he never mentions that Morbius is in SM4 he just talks about how he likes vampires he never confirmed they would be in SM4 ever, your all just reading into this to much even if he does go with Morbius it will be fine the only villain Raimi has messed up was Venom and that is prob cause he doesn't like the character.
