A couple individuals, they will remain nameless, close to the production of 'Spider-Man' has given me word that Billy Bob Thornton may be in negotiations to play a villain in the upcoming 'Spider-Man' reboot.
Accordingly, negotiations began recently and Billy Bob apparently was one of the only actors they considered for the role play.
Unfortunately, there is no knowledge of who the villain is. The actor is best known for starring in such films as "The Astronaut Farmer," "Mr. Woodcock" and "Bad News Bears."
Rumors have swirled around the villain would being Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard, but my spider sense tells me Billy Bob may play another villain.
Sony is expecting to sign Billy Bob Thornton to the film as soon as possible. An announcement may be made around next month before the film begins shooting in December.
One of the reasons I created my CBM is that I knew that I could give some valid news out to you guys. Now all that is needed is for Billy Bob to be confirmed and I will have proven myself.
'Spider-Man' has already nabbed the "(500) Days of Summer" director Marc Webb and the up and coming young actor Andrew Garfield, best known for films as "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," "Boy A," and the upcoming David Fincher film, "The Social Network." The film is expected to be released on July 3rd, 2012, in 3-D.
