We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The suit is the best thing about this film.

The suit is perfection. But the best thing about this film is the feeling they have finally nailed who Spider-Man is. I love The Amazing Spider-Man 1, despite its flaws, I feel it will be looked with the same light that people look to Batman Begins now, if The Amazing Spider-Man 2 delivers - and it's looking like it will - I feel that this could become one of the best superhero trilogies ever.

Perfection... just perfection.

As a side note, I wonder why no one ever uses the fat spider logo on the back of his costume.

This, Man of Steel, and Iron Man have the best comic book costumes of all time.

The Spider-Man's costume in TASM2 looks perfect even WITHOUT post-production, without the effects added. I don't think neither Superman's MoS, or Iron Man's costume looks as good as the Spidey one. Is just downright perfect like he came out from the comic panels.

I don't get it. It's just the Raimi suit, right?

My attitude going into the last one was nothing could be worse than s3

I was also known to candidly remark how much I hate Paul Gimati

I won't pay to see it 70 percent sure. .. last superhero move I skipped in theaters was origin s

@TheYoungMan Different spider, different eyes. Why can't you see the difference?? It's so different and original!!!

Lol no it isn't.

Seriously, they could have changed the suit a little bit. I know there isn't much you can do with Spider-Man, but it's almost the same suit with Raimi's Spidey.

I like everything on the new suit except the rings on his fingers, it just seems like it would feel weird if your trying to hold something.

I'm not gonna lie this suit looks "amazing" but if you think about it, it's not 100% comic accurate. Like @Luminus says, it doesn't have the round logo on the back. Oh well. It still doesn't hurt.

Uh no. TASM was garbage.

I'm SO buying the deluxe sideshow collectible from this one! I know it's expensive, it will be my first sideshow purchase, but I believe it will be worth it!!
JJJameson
JJJameson - 1/3/2014, 7:45 AM
@batmanrises

The Amazing Spider-Man has the highest score among top critics at Rotten Tomatoes, with 80%. Batman Begins reception wasn't much different than The Amazing Spider-Man, and all this build up for TASM2 isn't much different than what happened before TDK was released.

I personally LOVE The Amazing Spider-Man, I think it's as good as either Batman Begins or Iron Man as an origin story, and I'm certain the majority who actually watched the film agrees with me.

The fourth and fifth image look like they could be cropped into the movie poster for The Avengers and look completely natural. I'm not saying they're planning a crossover or that it will ever happen. But if there was an MCU Spidey that's exactly what I would want him to look like.
Luminus

@TheYoungMan and @TheDarkPhoenix: The suits are different You 2 just aren't good and noticing the differences. You're the kind of people who think all Chinese people look the same. Google is your friend.

They did a great job with the suit easily the best on screen costume. It would be cool to see the first tasm suit in a sequel one last time.

its a shame they didn't use CGI on his eyes, it would have allowed them to give him more expressions like they do in the comic..
