We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones in an unspecified role

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

"Colm Feore as Donald Menken"

Not buying it. Guy looks nothing like Menken, and everything like Vulture.

for me, my "you'll believe a man can fly" moment was watching spider-man swing around in the first raimi movie. i couldn't believe i was watching a real, living, breathing person swing around the concrete jungle of new york.

too bad this movie, while it looks great, will just never recapture that feeling for me. hopefully this will capture the feeling of a world populated by more than one or two super powered characters.

What's the point of bashing a movie that's already going to be made and make money. Just at least try and enjoy it. We all can't get what we want.

@TheAbomination- You're just sad that your closet is still mostly jean shorts. Don't hate that a rich kid dresses nice. Makes you look stupid.

Love seeing Peter being a genius, something the Raimi films never really projected.
This movie is next level.

Imo Spider-Man should look some what "cartooish" not only is he a grown man in a lycra suit he's also the most colourful comic book character of all time. I don't think that being "cartoonish" a bad thing. The effects look anything but cheap.
But I'm sure @BatmanRobinNightwing is an expert on cgi. Please tell me more about how they look like a video game. Best video game graphics I've ever seen.

TASM2 is shaping up to be terrific. The suit design, the acting, the villains and the cgi all look fantastic.

Keep in mind, haters who spew hatred for no good reason for a film they've never seen are just frustrated losers trying to make up for an abundance of inadequacies.
