UPDATE: Meet 'Electro's' Mom In New THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Deleted Scene

This latest deleted scene from the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features an appearance from a character that didn't make it to the theatrical cut of the movie: Max Dillon's (Jamie Foxx) not-very-nice Mother.

By MarkCassidy - Aug 18, 2014 05:08 AM EST

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, and Chris Zylka, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray later this month.

Say whatever you want about my comment, but I think they shouldn't have deleted that scene. It was important to develop the character a little more. Yes, Max was a bozo Spidey fanboy, but it looks like an interesting character if we take a look at his back story, besides, the fact his mom forgot his birthday is one of the reasons for him to become a villain (I'd get really angry, but I would not become a villain and kill everyone), I'm not pleased with his reason to hate Spidey anyway...

They should of had all the deleted scenes in the final version, then take out some of the serious stuff, maybe we could of had a B&R type thing going on. Could of been a full on mess with camp, and then earned the title of "so bad its good."

Now we're just stuck with a forgettable movie with annoying scenes sprinkled threw out a Rom-Com.

Is it bad that I keep watching this film just to laugh at the S6 setup?

Why?

Seriously... Electro would have been a more dimensional character if he was just a bad guy wanting money or something.

This back story is worse than Sandman's in Spider-man 3.

His character was out of balance with the rest of the film. His child-like and retarded demeanor was over the top. Spider-man tells him, like he's a 5 year old; "Your my eyes and ears out here" and he takes it literally and becomes a villain when he realizes Spider-man doesnt know who the [frick] he is.

Worst villain origin ever. "YOU LIED TO ME" speaking of which....

They definitely should included this scene. It would have gone a long way into helping flesh out Max's reasons for feeling the way he felt and becoming what he became.

We must protest and riot for the freedom of Spider-Man!

I never seen such extreme cruelty done to such a young man before. These slave masters are getting out of control, I can't imagine whats the next inhumane act they plan on doing to Spidey.

Now I grant you all the great words from a glorious man.

@TalkinSoftball you must be happy 'cause Gwen died and that "romantic bullshit" as you called is no longer in the series. But that "romantic bullshit" was the thing what differed this saga with the Raimi one, if I remember, the whole cockteasing romance was a complaint for the fans back when Raimi movies released. Now, we have an actual relationship and you guys still complain. I really don't understand the hate towards the reboot in this site. It may not have been the kind of Comic book movie you guys wanted to see but is a really interesting POV of the whole Spider-Man mythos and the fact is completely based on the comics, Raimi's wasn't, makes those movies have a special thing. I wanted a SM4 too, but seeing the way it was going I realized i wanted Sony to reboot the whole saga. And don't make me remember that "Emo Peter dancing scene" from SM3. The rebooted saga has some cheesy moments but that one has no quarrel...

I feel for the people who actually saw TASM 2 and thought it was an even REMOTELY decent film. They must be in denial of it's massive proportions of 'Turrible'.
