In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, and Chris Zylka, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray September 1st.

That it was shot on 35mm was great. But imagine how awesome Spidey's web slinging would be like in HFR!!!! That's right, pretty amazing.

TASM2 was NOT "great". The dialogue was hokey and basic. The VFX were very lackluster, and, the story felt very rushed and choppy in all the wrong places. What's worst is it had no cinematic identity. It's like they tried to capture the magic of what Raimi did and what Marvel Studios is doing (which is a complete departure from the "Spider-Man Begins" approach of the first film), and, they failed so miserably. I won't go as far as to say it was complete trash, because there are redeeming qualities that I value from TASM2, but, they are few and far between. I'm disappointed at the potential of the film that was teased in those few great scenes/elements.

I was one who loved the first Amazing Spider-Man and was looking for to the sequel...but good lawd how it let me down. like Enphlieuwince says, the dialogue was bad, the movie couldnt find a pace and stick with it. Electro was eh, he was aight...Green Goblin was horrendous...and dont get me started on Rhino.
I honestly dont know how the Sinister 6 movie is going to turn out, but as of now my hopes are at an all time low with the Spider-Man franchise.

@Mysterion Totally agree. I also enjoyed TASM, so, I spent too much time defending this movie beforehand. It was a letdown in the end.

@0megaDaGod

I agree with you on every point that you made....

I was actually really excited for this movie after the cast was announced, and the trailers got me even more excited, with the "His Greatest Battle Begins" tagline, ect.... but the film was a total let down.... Mainly because Webb doesn't understand the characters and he wasn't able to handle the cast, Foxx and Dehann were especially bad, this movie had so many problems

@OmegaDaGod - Ya, I really hate seeing people complaining just because their beloved comics aren't that properly adapted to the screen, c'mon!!! Does anyone knows what "adaptation" means? I think both Sony and Fox did their things good, yeah both have their differences from the comics but those movies are enjoyable at best. I'd love to see those movies in the MCU, I really do, but that will mean reboot everything from scratch, getting new actors and stuff, and I don't want to see that... what I really would love to see, is the studios (Fox and Sony) taking a stand in pro of the fans and finally listening what they have to say, how things should be done, I mean stop complaining and let's act bros!!! We have to fix the mistakes made in the TASM and X-Men sagas, and it all begins with Avi Arad GTFO of the Spidey license, who's with me!?
