Andrew Garfield Claims He Has "No Update" To Share On Sony's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 Plans Andrew Garfield Claims He Has "No Update" To Share On Sony's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 Plans

After reprising the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have made it clear they want Sony Pictures to #MakeTASM3. Andrew Garfield, however, claims to be in the dark about future plans.

Andrew Garfield spent months claiming he wouldn't return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home... and then he did. While the actor was simply trying to preserve the experience for fans (at the behest of Marvel Studios), it now means we don't know what to believe when he's interviewed!

This probably explains why there's so much chatter on social media about the interview snippet below. Asked if there's anything he can share about The Amazing Spider-Man 3, Garfield responded: "No update from me. No one's going to believe anything I say ever again. That's my problem."

The reason Garfield is being asked about the potential threequel - which was once set to be released in June of 2016 - is because fans have campaigned tirelessly for Sony to #MakeTASM3 since his return as "Peter #3." Unfortunately, they seem to be forgetting that the movie was set to revolve around a formula that could raise the dead, with a subplot seemingly devoted to Norman Osborn's decapitated head.

We were also getting a Sinister Six movie with Spidey as part of the team, and if early reactions to Morbius are any indication, Avi Arad is no better at storytelling now than he was back then. Taking that all into account, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 probably wouldn't be what fans are hoping for.

Fingers crossed Garfield does swing back into action as Spider-Man, though...in the MCU!

Maybe an animated movie or a comic at best. I really never see them burning cash on a live action film

My only concern right now is this whole universe Sony is creating with morbid clearly breaking cannon and rules established in no way home for cheap team ups. I don’t want Andrew to get stuck with bad spidey films again

I don't see them making another solo Spidey movie for him. It'd undercut what they're doing with Tom. He might appear in ensemble stuff.

There are no future plans, he played the character a decade ago, it only bought him hate, he is now a respected actor with a bright future ahead of him, and he even "redeemed" his Spiderman in NWH.
Just leave him alone, this is starting to look like when Ben Affleck was promoting his movies, and all he was asked was "when is The Batman coming out?"

Can someone please explain to me why they they would have any confidence that a Sony-produced TASM3 would be of a better quality quality than Morbius or either Venom movies? Because i don’t see it.

How many of these shitty marvel associated movies do they have to make before people will stop giving them the benefit of the doubt? The last good one they made was in 2004 (besides Into the SpiderVerse).

If you all love Andrew Garfield (and I do think he’s a great actor/peter parker) as much as you claim, you won’t wish the burden of being in another medicore/terrible spidey movie on him.
