Just checked rotten tomatoes, and this movie is currently sitting at 72% and seems to be dropping, I am yet to see it, and I will probably enjoy it when I do as I love my superhero movies, but always felt for this reboot to work, it had to smash it out the park, which doesn't look like it will.

Although I am sure it will make plenty of money, so hopefully now the rebooted origin is done a sequel, can just get on with it.

this movie could have been so much better Andrew is perfect as spiderman and peter thats what i loved bout the movie and cant wait to see him in the 2nd one but this just didnt feel as big as it should have the action scenes were over fast including the final fight so all i can say is its a good start theres alot of cool parts but wasent amazing like i thought it would be .

@CloserPleasures Well without knocking a movie I am yet to see, however, from the trailers it has looked, well, cheaper than past movies, which might be true as I am sure this reboot probably was done for less than at least the last 2 Spider-Man movies.

So perhaps that is the reason for the fights and action pieces not being as long as you mentioned.

It has its flaws, but it is better than any of the Raimi films, yes even Spider-Man 2.

The movie is being unfairly criticized, because I guess nobody asked for a reboot. I don't see how this should cloud peoples judgment on the film, but whatever.

I read something that compared this film to Superman Returns, and Green Lantern and that basically sealed the deal for me. It made me realize that most "journalist" cannot be subjective for their lives, cause they sound like they're blinded by nostalgia or what was good 5-10yrs ago.

The movie isn't perfect, in fact it has quite a few problems, but not enough to make it a bad film. I feel everyone delivered their role quite well, accept for that Indian dude who works with Conners. I couldn't understand him for my life.

Anyways, if you like comicbook movies, go freakin see it. It is a pretty good movie.
