VIDEO GAMES: First Teaser Trailer For Beenox's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Tie-In

While it doesn't reveal much more than a glimpse of New York and its residents in Spidey's first next-gen outing, we do get to see the titular wallcrawler in action in this first teaser trailer (with current-gen footage) for Beenox's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game tie-in.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

They mentioned Fisk Tower(s), wonder if it will be in the film. Great lookin' game so far.

Really looking forward to the villain choices, obviously Electro will be in it but outside of him of course. The Lizard was fun to play against (and as) and was fun as well as interesting to watch in the movie. Hopefully with a completely upgraded backstory and made far more interesting, Electro will be fun and interesting to watch and fun to play against. Out of the villains everyone would know (even if they haven't been in a film yet), Electro and Rhino have been among the most boring and least interesting Spider-Man villains.

I hope that's running on current gen, or at least alpha. The game doesn't come out till May, so there's time.

Before anyone craps even more on this game, Beenox has said that this is only current-gen footage, so don't think it will be this quality on PS4 & XBOne. You're welcome.

Hope this game is good. It sucks that it's a movie tie-in, but it's not like any other company would make a decent Spider-man game at all, so I'll take what I can get.

Hopefully this is unfinished. Anyways, really looking forward to the gameplay and story this game has to offer.. and by the looks of things since FISK was mentioned you might be going up against more "Organized" crime with gangs ect instead of robots,cross species... And more robots

They said they'll release a next gen trailer later on down the line. I really hope they have more updates this time around, the wait for TASM1 game was horrible (due to lack of news).

They have GOT to fix the web-swinging. Make it more like Spider-Man 2:The Game, that game had some superb controls,in fat,to this day I still play that game on my beloved gamecube,just to go for a swing and relax, now THAT is a great game.

I love Spider-Man 2 as much as the next guy but, the web swinging controls were clunky as hell. It was boring swinging in that game.

@VIRILEMAN Agreed, Web of Shadows had better manoeuvrability, but it just didn't feel quite the same. Don't get me wrong, WOS is a great game too, but the web slinging in Spider-Man 2 felt real and the physics were better too. Like for instance, sometimes when web swinging in S2, I would intentionally make the web line stick to another building so I could gain some momentum and then jump and shoot the next web line. That is because the webbing was behaving like a real web line should. That made the game considerably more difficult too but, in my opinion, that's what made that game so great.

I've always enjoyed the Spiderman games. I know they're all basically the same thing but it sure is fun web slinging around an open world New York City !

Spider-Man 2 had the best of all worlds, if it could truly be updated in 1080p for 2013/2014, I would replay that game.
