VIDEO GAMES: Fourth Shattered Dimensions Spider-Man Revealed?

A new cover for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions appears to have revealed the fourth and final version that's set to appear in the game...

And it's the black-suited version of Spider-Man that first appeared during Marvel's Secret Wars crossover in the 1980's.

The question is whether this is Peter Parker or Eddie Brock. It's also worth bearing in mind that despite several sites reporting that this is the final dimesnsion from the game there has been no official announcement released by Marvel but expect confirmation (or not) when Activision will be talking about the game in greater detail at the San Diego Comic-Con next week. Activision have already confirmed that Spider-man will take the form of Amazing, Noir and 2099 in the game, so it's likely that this suit (along with the powers that go with it) is the next one to be confirmed!

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is set to be released on Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 on September 7th later this year!

Awesome find Josh. But how how does the Black Suit count as a different dimension? Interesting. Very interesting. It doesn't really look like this though.

Destroyer14- I agree. This makes no sense since it's part of the same Amazing Spider-man dimension. This would mean that Activision has failed again. The game in itself might be a good one, but it already comes short IMO because we'd all want a full individual game of each of these spideys deep down ;)

Yeah, the black costume does seem like an odd choice, but it could be set on another planet or even the Spider-Man: Reign storyline!? That and the fact they'll probably give the suit a unique power set makes it likely that this is the real deal especially if they go with Venom which would make the gameplay entirely different regardless of where it's set!

It is a pity that they didnt go for something a little more ambitious though...

looks a little idk fake'ish, it does say it ain't officially confirmed

but speculation wise, perhaps they're going for Poison that eviler version of black suit spidey from that What if story, would be cool playing as an evil spidey

AWESOME!!!! Great find @JOSH!!!!!

Well I wanted Reign or 1602, but this works. While we've seen it in the past 4 Spidey games, its still fun to kick ass as a symbiote. I'm really excited for this game, definite buy!!!

I have to agree that there's a good chance this image is fake (as I've said in the article above - several sites have reported it as genuine but Marvel and Activision have said nothing to confirm that) but I think I'll change the "!" to an "?" in the title of this article anyway until we hear some official confirmation! :)

CRITIC: Thanks bud, either of those dimesnions would be awesome although I agree that playing as the symbiote should still be great fun! (especially if it was Venom!)

If you look really closly you can see that the eye is cutting into the noir spider-man's head. Definitely shopped.

I'd wanna play the game, even if it was only a Noir one. Noir is my favorite Spider-Man. :)

@Skeletor: I, totally, agree with you. Also: it's not part of another dimension. I don't know who the REAL fourth one should be, but even so. I wouldn't mind it being 1602 or something really kool and out of the ordinary, like that.

don't forget that there was that series called Planet of the Symbiotes. They could do that.

but this seems a little off to me. Spidey 2099, and Noir are very unique choices for a game. the black suit has been done before in spidey games, i was expecting something we haven't seen in a game before, not the black suit. kinda disappointing.

maybe its a 'What If?' world where Earth is a planet of Symbiotes? Perhaps its a sort of continuation off of the evil storyline of Web of Shadows?? I'm just speculating if its true :D

I would love Spiderman India. It could be like Prince of Persia or Assassin's Creed with the gameplay.
Or Zombies, that'd be pretty damn awesome.

I think the mangaverse Spider-man is a likely choice because it's so stylistically different.

Symbiote, Iron Spider, and Scarlett Spider are all cool, but they're not different dimensions.

After checking out the cover it looks like they're keeping pretty up to date. If my thoughts are correct the third one from the left is Spider-Man Noir (great book if ya haven't read it yet). Plus the whole deal of getting to play Spidey 2099 is kinda cool.
