Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a focused, action-packed adventure set in two connected and evolving timelines, from the contemporary times of the Amazing Spider-Man to the corrupted future world of Spider-Man 2099, against the backdrop of a rich, tightly crafted narrative by acclaimed Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of the comic book series Spider-Man 2099). The game features all-new "cause-and-effect" gameplay, where players will see how the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man.

Here is the trailer for those of you who have not seen it yet.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time will be released later this year.

Anti Venom has to be under control by someone. I have a feeling that since this game is all about the time travel, its someone from the future.

You know, I am all for Spider-man and all, plus, like his other games, I will probably like this one, too. But I believe Marvel should release some of their other characters into the video game world. I mean, how badass would a Cable game be? Cable going up against Sythe(I believe that's what his metal armored brother is called)and his army in a torn post apocalyptic backdrop. Certain cameos from Mutants still resisting and hiding out or fighting along side you during certain points of the game like older X-Men characters. Amongst them, Cable could have certain members in his fighting force but maybe one other could be a playable character like Bishop. Or maybe all of them, like in Assassin;s Creed: Brotherhood. But if just one, then it should be Bishop. And then, right when Sythe and Cable go at it and Sythe is killed and the player believes the game to be over, you learn that Apocalypse is actually in control. The game can either continue from there or split off to a sequel.
IIIII'm just sayin' Marvel. I love ya! But let's get outta this safe box shall we?? Let's explore a little. A little more balls to the wall. Because this whole copying DC with their X-men Destiny crap is just stupid.

@FDT

How is Marvel copying DC with X-Men: Destiny? Are you talking about DC Universe Online? WOW. That's completely idiotic. Because RPG's never existed before DCUO? Gimme a friggin' break....

Wow, the game is looking great. Anti-Venom being in it boosts it up for me.

@FDT You're thinking of Cable's clone. Name's Stryfe.

Yeees! Stryfe! Thanks HeyVanity. And Indoraptor, no need to lose your composure. Wasn't intent on hurting your feelings with that comment, dude. Just stating that it seemed pretty coincidental that while, yes, there RPGs before DCU it was only when it came out and made a big "splash" of sorts with campaigning that the news for Marvel's RPG game was soon following suit. You understand my point now? Not taking shot at anyone here. This is just a forum where people put in suggestions and I just added mine to the group. I am a HUGE Marvel fan, nothing against DC. But I just want to see other characters get a shine every once in a while. Is that okay with you?

@FDT a MU Online game was announced, a trailer was made, and was then cancelled, years before DCUO. Here's a link to the trailer from 2006 http://youtu.be/A-NqHLP0Obg

@FDT and Drittenz

They've announced it's coming back. Bendis is writing it and you play as the classic marvel characters instead of creating your own. Announced characters are Thor, Spiderman, Iron Man, Cap, and Squirrel Girl.

^ Yea, really not that excited about it. Also, on a tangent there are some pretty clever costume manipulations by DCUO players on youtube ...try "DCUO: magneto" or "spiderman" for example.

2099 rules. Noir should be in this game too. love the stealth gameplay from Shattered Dimensions. Guessing this is a sequel. It should be. Anti-venom being bad still makes my head hurt, though.
