As you all know, the highly anticipated WB/DC movie, Suicide Squad, is currently filming in Toronto. The film already has an impressive ensemble cast to boast, and just this week we got our awesome first look at the main cast, courtesy of the film's director David Ayer himself.

We then also got better looks at the character in action in behind the scenes photos. Now, more spy spy shots have made their way online that is sure to excite everyone. Keep in mind that isn't confirmation of any sort. Just speculation based behind the scenes snaps of the set.

As you can see from the pictures above, the scene being shot seems to involve some sort of inicident as a police car and fire department and health services van are present on set. But the more interesting thing about the picture is that these vehicles are from 'Midway City'. What's the significance?

As comic book fans will instantly recognise, Midway City is recognised as being the home of Silver Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Again this isn't any sort of confirmation, but it's nice to see the DC Cinematic Universe taking shape pretty nicely by forming links to the wider DC lore and characters.

So, what do you think? Is this who Jim Parrack is playing? Let me know your thoughts below. I for one am immensly excited for how things are shaping up in the DCCU! You can also head on to the link for more pictures and like the DC Cinematic Universe fan page while you're at it.

Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad stars Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Common, Jim Parrack, Adam Bleach, Jay HernandezAlex Barinholtz, Alex Meraz and Karen Fukuhara. Ben Affleck will cameo, while Raymond Olubawale and Jessie Eisenberg are rumored to appear as well. Suicide Squad arrives in theatres August 5, 2016.

So baseless speculation, not news.

Just because a city is featured doesn't mean characters from said city will appear.

At least change your headline if this is going to stay up.

^^^^^
I hope they don't, WB already has enough characters who are simultaneously appearing on TV, which gets annoying

Sweet, love those little nodes and call backs to the universe

@BlackestKnight Characters that are having to be removed from TV cause WB doesn't want multiple versions of their characters. Waller, Deadshot, etc. Next it will be Katana and Flash.

I don't think they will be in this movie... but have heard rumors that WB wants them to join the Justice League in JL2. So this matches up with those rumors. If this hints that they will be in the universe, hopefully the other rumor I heard that Captain Atom is a project Amanda Waller is looking into will be true too.

DC is playing catchup so I'm all for introducing more of their universe in these subtle ways. As a fan of CBM we need DC in the Game. Some in Hollywood would like to see this genre go away. Different is good so the sooner DC gets that universe rolling the better. Even if your a Marvel Fan this will be good for Marvel.

This could also be why Legends of tomorrow can't use Shiera Hall and is using Kendra Saunders instead.

I would [frick]ing love to see a surprise Hawkgirl cameo in this. She will then join Justice League in the JL movie. Awesome!

I have a feeling that we'll see atleast one major DC hero or villain being set up at the end of this movie like they are setting WW, Cyborg and Aquaman in BvS.

@stalkerpro21

Your headline is clear and not even remotely close to Wilding click-bait levels.
Great find!

@TheGambitFreak

You honestly think they're gonna end "The Flash"? Honestly?

Or was your post a joke? Seriously, I wanna know.

Just you all know, there are two different versions of Hawkman and Hawkgirl right?

You have the reincarnated Egyptian gods Hawkman and Hawkgirl (golden age) and then you have the alien space cops from Thanagar Hawkman and Hawkgirl (silver age). The one on the TV show is the golden age version who is also the Earth 2 version presently. The ones from Midway City are the Thanagarian version, the more famous version.

Also, Midway City was home for the Doom Patrol for a while.

@TheGambitFreak

Deathstroke and Waller are not off the table.

The only reason why Deadshot is off the table is because he's dead. Even if a twist may be obvious, a showrunner is not going to spoil it.

@tronVin They killed Deadshot because the higher ups said they didn't want to confuse audiences with Will Smith's version. There were talks about the same happening with Waller and co. I honestly don't see a problem. No one mistaked Smallville for Superman Returns.
