Suicide Squad received mostly negative reviews upon release, though to say that the vast majority of those were too harsh would be an understatement. For the most part, fans (and regular moviegoers) have embraces the big screen debut of Task Force X, and that's something which has shown at the box office. With that in mind, David Ayer has taken to Twitter to thank everyone for making it a hit.

Box Office Mojo currently has Suicide Squad down as having earned a total of $582 million worldwide - $269 million domestic, $313 million foreign - but Ayer clearly has some more up to date figures as he's talking here about the movie having earned a whopping $600 million. With no China release planned, it remains to be seen how much higher it will go and if $700 million is going to be a possibility.
