Glorious First SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Officially Released

This was unexpected! Warner Bros. has just officially released the first Suicide Squad footage (and logo) that was shown at Comic-Con and subsequently leaked online in low-quality! Check it out!

Just minutes after Suicide Squad director David Ayer had expressed disappointment that someone had leaked the Comic-Con footage online in low-quality, Warner Bros. "made things right" by officially releasing the sneak peek as well as the movie's official logo in glorious high-definition.

This was definitely unexpected given the highly-anticipated DC Comics adaptation doesn't hit theaters until August 2016, but the "sizzle reel" offers a first look at Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), and the Joker (Jared Leto) among others. Warner Bros. also released an official statement which you can read beneath the trailer below!

“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.” - Sue Kroll of WB

Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang),
Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), with Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Scott Eastwood. The film releases on August 5, 2016!

He's torturing Harley in the end scene. You can also tell that Ike Barinholtz is not Hugo Strange but a Belle Reve guard. Along with Jim Parrack leading Joker somewhere. Eh Maybe was wrong again.

Looks interesting. Will Smith aside, I may check this out in the theater. Has to be better than what the CW cooked up
