Ike Barinholtz, actor and Chicago native, phoned in with Chicago Tribune to talk about an exciting project coming up. I can’t talk too much about it, otherwise I’ll be executed, Barinholtz joked.

We’re three days in. This is a crazy movie. It’s the biggest movie I’ve ever been in. However, of course, Ike Barinholtz stays mum on his role. The only thing I can say is that it’s a very different side of me that you haven't seen on "The Mindy Project" or "Neighbors". Barinholtz described the tone of the movie stating, It appeals to people’s dark side a little more. It has a ‘Dirty Dozen’ feel. I think that’s the direction we’re going in.

Ike Barinholtz then revealed an interesting connection to a renowned writer of Suicide Squad, John Ostrander. He also talks about his impressions of the script: Ironically, my mom was friends with John Ostrander, who wrote one of the original incarnations in the 80s. I was very happy to hear about the project. And when discussions began of me being in it, I read the script and was like "Oh my God, this is awesome".

This movie is going to be insane, The cast is great so far. David Ayer is a cholo by heart lol, Well he did reside in LA for quite a while with his cousin. So you can tell why he always has that chicano influence in some of his movies like Harsh Times for example. And just saw Street Kings last night Might not have been his best work but it's not horrible either. Sabotage wasn't too bad either, Haven't seen Fury yet. But everyone says it's his best work to date, I'll check it out tonight after Arrow!

@BushidoBrown Awesome can't wait to see it later, By the way Ayer has a knack for getting some great performances from his actor's. Christian Bale was so gangster and believable that he grew up in East Los Angeles, For his role in Harsh Times. And i heard the whole cast for Fury knocks it out of the park, Can't wait for Suicide Squad!
