THE SUICIDE SQUAD Star Sylvester Stallone Says He Will "For Sure" Be Back As King Shark

Though he doesn't give any indication of when or where, Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that he does plan to return as the voice of King Shark after debuting as the character in The Suicide Squad.

Despite his nasty habit of tearing people to pieces and eating them, Nanaue's child-like innocence and friendship with Ratcather 2 saw him emerge as one of the more endearing members of Task Force X in The Suicide Squad.

The lethal - and borderline invincible - King Shark survives the final battle with Starro and returns to the U.S. with Harley Quinn, Bloodsport and Ratcatcher. Director James Gunn has indicated that we will see all four (well, five if you count Peacemaker) surviving members again at some point, but we haven't heard about any concrete plans for a sequel (unlikely given the last movie's underperformance at the box office) or spin-offs.

While speaking to ComicBook.com to promote his upcoming Paramount+ series Tulsa King, Sylvester Stallone - who provided the voice for the character - was asked if he intends to reunite with Gunn for more King Shark adventures.

"Yes, for sure," the Rocky star replied. "I think James has been very generous. He and I are pretty tight. So if there's an opportunity... I love him, he's great."

Unfortunately, Stallone didn't elaborate, so we have no idea if he actually knows where and when we'll see Nanaue next or if it's just something he assumes is going to happen. Is there a chance the big fella could show up in the second season of Peacemaker? We'll just have to wait and see.

Not sure if anyone watched Tulsa King last night, but it was quite good. Really enjoyable and surprisingly quite hilarious at times. And Sly was good in it, looking forward to the rest of the season.

I hope not! They are not going to do well if they keep up the hyper-fantastic slapstick films. One of the main reasons I am not thrilled with James Gunn heading up DC.

If marvel can have a talking tree and racoon then DC can have hyper fantastic characters💁

Is it wrong that I like the King Shark on The Harley Quinn animation better? His delivery makes every line interesting and usually funny.

King shark reminds me of my dog. Huge, dumb as a rock, sad when he is left alone, but lovable, loyal and a pleasure to be around.

Well I guess we should take that as absolute confirmation that he will return in a King Shark movie, then.

Or do we only do that for Cavill?

Gory Groot. Gunn could’ve done better with the Harley Quinn template for Shark.

He was my favourite character in The Suicide Squad, which I think was and still is a pretty good movie.

Started watching Peacemaker,I'm on Episode 3 and yeah I'm enjoying this as well.
