As previously scooped by Bleeding Cool, The CW has now confirmed that Chris Woods is playing Mon-El, a longstanding DC Comics superhero with close ties to the Legion of Super-Heroes.  Supergirl officially describes their version of the characters as having powers similar to that of Kara Zor-el, he just happens to hail from the planet Daxam and not Krypton.

A Legion of Super-Heroes Flight Ring appeared during The Flash's season 1 finale peek at the Speed Force and in an episode of Supergirl last season.  Traditionally depicted as the leader of the future superhero group, does Mon-El's appearance in Supergirl mean that the Legion isn't too far behind?
