Hands down, best Lois Lane....EVER!!! [frick] you, I don't need to see the movie to know how awesome she'll be.

No other Lois Lane comes close to her caliber of acting or presence. Thanks god they didn't go with Olivia "bimbo" Wilde like most of you knobs wanted. -_-

Also, I have all confidence in the entire cast of Man of Steel.

It's the main that's the only person I worry about. I already know that Shannon, Crowe, Adams, Costner(Just by looking at the trailer, he's acting his ass off!), Lane, Meloni and Schiff will bring awesome performances!!!

Henry, the movie rests with you!!!

@ KnightofSteel - Theron would have been awesome as well, but Amy Adams is a FOUR TIME ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATED ACTRESS....let that sink in. Each nomination was for a character more different than the last, too.

Doubt, Junebug, The Masters and the Fighter...

Very few other actresses, let alone Lois Lanes, can speak of such an impressive resume.

@ KnightofSteel - Doubt she'll call him Smallville in this movie. Lois called him Smallville to mock him--jokingly, but still mock him--when they weren't together.

Rumor has it that Lois already knows Clark is Superman, and they're seen sharing a kiss in the comic-con trailer...so, doubt you'll get Smallville. But, Goyer reads the comics before he writes. He read Earth One, Birthright and Secret Origins and he even said he drew influence from Secret Origins in the fourth book.

We also see some All-Star Superman influence with Russell Crowe's monolog in the teaser. Not sure what's so pretentious about Goyer's writing though

Jor-El's monolog...

The scene in the trailer where young Clark is running away and Martha is telling him to focus on her voice.

@ KnightofSteel - And Adams doesn't have that "flair" to play Lois Lane?

She already played a Lois Lane type character in the Fighter and got a nomination for it.
CavEl
CavEl - 2/8/2013, 12:41 AM
Costner's most famous role was playing a Pa Kent type character in Field of Dreams, Russell Crowe can play any role, Michael Shannon...well...

Lawrence Fishburne already played mentor to a Superman type character in his most famous role as Morpheus.

Damn, whoever casted this movie casted it well.

Amy,you won my heart. For a brief moment you took me back to being an 11 year old boy in 1978 watching Superman the Movie as my favorite superhero came to life.

I have every faith you will do the same as you and Henry lead Superman back to cinematic glory.

Brains, spunk and girl next door approachable beauty on display.

Amy Adams totally embodies my favorite version of Lois Lane. That would be the feisty red headed version John Bryne crafted in 1986's Man of Steel mini series and married Clark a decade later.

You know, the thought of seeing her Lois cradling Henry's Superman after he falls in battle against Doomsday kind of chokes me up inside the same way reading the comic did in 92.

Those two are really making me believe again that a man can fly.

Why does she have to have black hair, Christian bale didn't have.black hair play Batman. She is a very underrated actress who was close to getting the Rachel role in BB. I would rather have a good actress instead of someone like let's bosworth a terrible actress but she dyed her hair black. Get over it, its the performance that matters.

Am I the only one the SKIPS that's unnecessarily sappy scene in Superman?

BTW, Erica Durance, outside of Margot Kidder, portrayed Lois Lane best.

TOP LOIS LANE PORTRAYALS
1) Margot Kidder
2) Erica Durance
3) Phyllis Coates
4) Teri Hatcher
5) Noel Neill

Nice MILF, great actress but no Lois Lane. She looks old, her complexion is pure make up which unfortunately shows in her arms and neck. There's no mileage in casting a 38 year old actress for a movie series. How many movies before she starts looking too wrinkled already, she looks bad enough now...

And when do they start production on the sequel, how old will she be then 40, 41? and the movie after than 43, 44? She has 12 years on Henry Cavill who's 29, practically his soccer-mom! Ideally they should have cast an actress in around 32/33 years old to get the best out of her in at least three movies.

I honestly think they're gonna go with the Golden age Fast talking, hot headed, work competitor Lois Lane that suspects Clark is Superman early on.

^who gives a shit i want a great actor first and foremost

we could of got megan fox you know she is very young and all

and lois should be an older woman she is a Pulitzer prize award winning journalist thats not something someone gets as a young woman
CavEl
CavEl - 2/8/2013, 4:39 AM
Captain America is a blonde, Chris Evans was a dirty blond in the Avengers. Iron Man has black hair, RDJ sports brown hair most of the time.

At least Lois Lane has been a red head in films and in the comics.

And who cares how old she is, she's better than Olivia Wilde and all the other 20 year holds you knobs would cast.

The thought of Olivia Wilde as either Lois or Diana makes me angry.

Ya'll youngsters dont know what beauty is. Just look at an age and think she is too old. Amy kills all those so called young actress ya'll would cast in beauty and acting chops. She is a grown woman in attitude and looks. There are more ways to be sexy than to be young and where tight stuff. All those younsters go overboard with makeup more so than older women they selves.

I like Amy but I think the concerns people have are valid for them. Not a deal breaker for me. For me, without having seen how the plot works or not, the biggest concern is the suit change.

Before the movie comes out & the MOS comic by Synder & Lee, I was think about getting Superman: Earth One vol. 1 and vol. 2. What do y'all think? Are those really good books?
