"He's got an amazing quality," a studio exec confided to Deadline.com. "He doesn't look too much like Reeve and Routh, but he's big and strong and he has a very modern feel to him. We're really going to try and make Superman as contemporary as possible."
This will, of course, mean the John Williams theme from Richard Donner's Superman: The Movie that symbolized the character for a couple of generations will be retired. The film itself will likely be as radical a rethink of the franchise as Batman Begins was to Batman and Robin.
