In an interview with Collider, Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull shares his thoughts on the upcoming superhero epic Man Of Steel after seeing a rough cut. As expected, he offers nothing but praise for the Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot and its cast. He then says that people will likely be excited by it as well, and that it's a "privilege" for Legendary to be involved with the film as well as Warner Bros.' recent Batman films. "It’s the Superman movie I’ve always wanted to see. I think the job that Zack Snyder did along with Chris Nolan- I think that people are going to be very, very excited about the results. The acting, on top of all the incredible action- Kevin Costner playing Jonathan Kent, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, just the cast, and I think the job Henry Cavill did, people are going to really be excited about it. It was a privilege to be a part of and Warner Brothers does a phenomenal job of bringing these things to life, Batman and Superman, and it really is a privilege for us to be a part of."

Arguably the biggest desire for Man Of Steel is to deliver an action-packed Superman, which unfortunately has yet to be shown on the big screen. When asked if Supes will punch someone in the face in the film, Tull had this to say. "I can tell you that I think you’re going to enjoy the movie very, very much."

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe. The film is set to hit theaters June 14th.

This movie...these execs...they better pray that all of this hype that they're shoving down people's throats is the real deal. If this film flops hard, nobody's gonna let WB live it down for at least another decade.

I never believe execs, or really anyone with a vested interest in the property, when they say things like this about their movies, but these guys have been particularly pushy about how awesome this film is...as if to convince themselves. Worries me more than anything else; a good movie doesn't need artificial hype like this, it will stand on its own merits.

We hear this type of tripe for every major release though, but these guys have said enough. Time to put up or shutup.

Off topic in some ways, I'm really getting excited about the idea of an Arkham Asylum type of Batman movie coming within the next decade. I'd pay good money to see that

I guarantee the first punch Superman throws will be in slow motion, so all fans can relish that moment.

WB should let Legendary produce all their DC characters if WB aren't going to use the talent DC already have eg Bruce Timm, Paul Dini and Geoff Johns.

That guy really sucked his own dick on that interview "...and Warner Brothers does a phenomenal job of bringing these things to life, Batman and Superman"
Pfft...3 out of 7 Batman movies were decent,Superman Returns is a steaming pile of shit and Green Lantern...come on,do I even need to continue?
The only thing WarnerBros. usually gets right are the animated movies.

Any way...I'm really looking forward to MoS.

Of course they gonna boost about the movie. It is their movie. They not gonna be like "Oh, I dont think it is that great, but go see it anyway people."

Everyone that is in a movie boast about their product. Hell if I were to listen to Shane Black and RDJ, I will be worried bout IM3 cause IM2 sucked monkey a**. Glad I dont listen to these people and make my own assumption about what I see.

Why are people going, yeah thats what they said about "Green Lantern", "Iron Man 2", "TDKR"?

Because its IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to love these films? Its their opinion, stop citing these films as bad just because you think so. I loved TDKR and MANY do, MOST do, look at the IMDB approval, it has an 87 on RT with a 92 people score.

Stop it.

@Dev
Cap and Thor were not great movies. But stories were subpar and were not well developed at all. Avengers were all right at best. Story is weak sauce and villain is even weaker. Movie had no spirit and alot of stuff was in there just for convenience. Only thing it had going for it was 4 heroes coming together. Don't get how people can not like other movies that have way stronger stories and villains with way better action (as in villains are able to challenge heroes and not be punching bags. Actually put up a fight) and then try to boast about those 3 movies.

IM is the s***. Movie was great and a well told story. Same with TIH.

Most anticipated movie of 2013 for me. Here's hoping it doesn't end up like Superman Returns, or Green Lantern. Also, I really want to see a good Green Lantern movie and if this is successful there's a chance that could happen... So please don't suck Man Of Steel.

It may be the Superman movie he's always wanted but that don't make it the film we've always wanted. Has he read comics for 10, 20, 30 years or more? Does he know the characters better than he knows his own family? (man...that made me sad...). Probably not. And he wants your money, so what he says means nothing. Prove it. I hope you did get it right. Another bad Supes is bad for all cbms.
