Not only that CGI is over used, but CGI is also crap.
I bet Man of Steel fanboys are going to say like that: "Over movie has worse CGI" or "Superman can´t be done without CGI" or worst yet... "CGI is alright"

Man of Steel is being handled by WETA. That's the same company that did CGI for Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Avengers. And the CGI looks wonderful this far.

I'm sure, of course, being the savvy and award winning film maker that you are, there is a btter alternative! What's that you say? You haven't made any movies? Granted YES some of the CGI looks meh coz they are still in post-production BUT it's a SUPER MAN movie!!!! You can't fully display Supes powers without CGI eeiisshhh -_-

Who says the effects are finished. They could look a lot better on screen when the movie is realeased. And in my opinion that CGI is on point. Stop hating.

the only shots were the CGI is kinda noticeable is when he's flying in space, blocking that blue beam and punching Zod in mid air but the CGI still looks terrific :D You wont even notice it whilst watching the movie.


However, it's SUPERMAN. He's powers requires more CGI than any other superhero (with maybe the exception of Hulk and Iron Man). He flies at the speed of a bullet, he has heat vision, super strength, ice breath.

On top of that he has the ability to fly. Grannted rigs can be used but that's old school now and certainly uncomfortable for the actor/stuntman
