MAN OF STEEL: Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven officially debunk "Jenny Olsen" and Lex Luthor speculation

Talking to SFX magazine recently, Deborah Snyder cleared the air about the character of "Jenny" in Man of Steel, "She's just a character."

It's been long rumored that the character "Jenny" from MAN OF STEEL is actually a female version of Jimmy Olsen from Superman lore and some have speculated she might be a relative to the famous character. While talking to SFX Mrs Snyder was asked about some of the most ridiculous rumors she had heard before the movie's release and she cites this as one of them.

Charles Roven: “Well, we’ve heard some insane rumours all along the way. I heard a rumour that we had Lex Luthor in the movie and we cut him out of the movie.” [Laughs]

Deborah Snyder: “Or that, we have a character, an intern called Jenny, who was actually Jimmy Olsen! That we had replaced Jimmy Olsen with Jenny. She’s just a character.”

Well there you have it Folks! Jenny is just a made up character. Although why they didn't just hire someone to play Jimmy if that was the case baffles me. Put a dude with a Camera in all of Jenny's scenes (even the one where Lombard is asking her out) and it will not change a thing. I guess that was the point. What do you guys think? Personally, I actually didn't miss the guy in the movie. But that's just me. Sound off in the usual place
