In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man Of Steel was directed by Zack Snyder, from a script written by David Goyer. The cast includes: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, Laurence Fishburne and Richard Schiff.

If they don't wanna use Reynolds, then use Jon Stewart, but rebooting it unnecessary.

I think Hans Zimmer Should get nominated for this movie not "12 years of slave". and there is no movie this year that got so energetic and inspirational Feel to its soundtrack, just my opinion though.

@Almight The VFX for MoS and IM3 were both created by Weta Digital.

Yeah the digital effects for MOS were. Weta workshop only did a couple of gun designs (My friend designed the 3d model from a concept sketch)

the CGI in MOS ... sucked. Sorry. It was kinda bad.
Mind you i'm not only blaming the company that provided the effects for this movie. it's a 50/50 case. I blame cinematographer as well. The movie had too many grey colours. Everything seemed to be so "washed out".
Some less colours and whole movie would end up being black and white.

I was going to leave a message for the people who have spent the last 3 years and are continuing to spend the next 2-3 yrs on the garbage that your producers will allow to be made. Why in God's name(because it seems to be apparent, but still makes no sense) is it that the production companies seem to think it's okay to make new 90s films. ***90s films are worst than a (runny & burnung like the Moses's bush)terd after a morning after shots of Michael Keaton in extensive suit-constricting scenes. It's high time to realize that, as a new era of film-making has passed, so has a new decade with new promise of talent, virtue & promising storytelling prowess. No longer do we need to realize how bad ass a scene can look, but simply how bad ass does it need to look. Do we need Zod, Brainiac, Doomsday, and Mongul to in the same arc?

Which reminds me of something funny........

Isn't it great when a comic book writer introduces character devices and story arcs that the audience may or may not be ready for and knocks it out of the park. Yet, when it comes to a big screen adaptation, they couldn't be more useful than a poopy-flavored popsicle. How about a Scott Snyder written Batman or JLA movie. It's not like introducing successful comic book writers could be the worst thing for the franchise, right Ryan Gosling.

can't tell if IM3 effects were any good. Couldn't see a god damn thing because of this shitty 3D conversion.

Star Trek 2 effects were good. Just good. Nothing spectacular.

@GUARDDIAN ANGEL

I wouldn't only prefer the idea of an already rebooted GL movie, but I get hard at the concept. The 1st movie was so bad that the critics treated it like shit on the lunch line... no one wanted it.

Not to blame them. The movie was poorly casted, written, acted, concepted, designed, directed... any major positions that I missed, you did your job poorly.

If I had worked for WB when this film was being released, I would have tried within all of my power to make a pillows-made-out-of-the-most-comfortable-dead-dead-babies. Maybe then they would have realized that this movie was the worst movie EVER made and never tried to make a sequel. And it would have been made better than that piece of SSSSSSSSSSSS HHHHHHHHHHHHH IIIIIIIIIIIIII TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

Bollocks. The concept and production design for Green Lantern was top notch stuff, so I disagree with that....as for the rest yeah that's true. Except for Mark Strong as Sinestro...brilliant casting.

Guys, these are on the Blu-ray. I'm at worl right now and I forget the name of that particular feature but it's like 3-4 hours long where you watch the movie but at certain points, while the movie is still playing in the background, the making of those particular scenes are played out including the one above. But watch the Special features blu-ray. It's there. Everyone talks about the making in a "picture in picture" format. Even the guy who plays Professor Hamilton.
