Just ease off the slo-mo and add more realistic action scenes(not like 300 where the CGI was all too obvious), and we'll be fine. Remember, you're making "Superman" not "Super-Duper Man".

@ leee777

your right about watchmen being a masterpiece,i think its one of the best comicbook movies ever.

i watched the other day watchmen ultimate edition, extra bits where pretty good.

there was a couple of bits added like some of the extended scenes that weren't needed.

but then saying that there is other bits that made it even closer to the source material.

which are awesome.

I dunno, the idea of a middle aged rookie Superman has left a bad taste in my mouth about this. We'll see.

Armie Hammer FTW.

@Superguy1591- I concur with you 100% I have had enough with the Donner era of Supes. We've been spoonfed a heaping bowl of "Donner-o's" for the past 2 decades.

Christopher Reeve was great...BACK in his days. Now this is a new era of Superman and I for one am soooo stoked Supes may get back into the fold WITHOUT Donner and WITHOUT Reeve. Hopefully no Routh too...because the goal here now is to reestablish Supes WITHOUT Reeve influence...so then how would it make any sense then to bring back the guy who everyone says "looks identical" to Chris Reeve??? It doesn't make sense.

Start over fresh...and I think a middle-aged actor is the best and newest route to go- I've had it with young prepubescents being SuperMAN.

Furthermore- Singer was a douche and in accordance with what Superguy1591 said- Snyder needs to be a fan of the CHARACTER of Superman (source-material= THE COMIC BOOKS!!!!) not the Reeve portrayal.

Chris Reeve (god rest his soul) is dead now people...must we keep casting actors that look like him??? Can't we just move on already and get something NEW and FRESH. I could never understand why Supes always had to be the one to get 'stuck' with ONE actor and ONE director. Reeve and Donner don't REPRESENT Superman. Superman was great before those two came along. Superman Returns proved that the "Donner-formula" just won't work in this new modern age. What worked back in 1978 won't work now. So I'm glad WB is finally done sucking on Donner's cock so we the fans can finally get at least a half-decent Superman flick.

I'm not hating on Reeve and Donner. I loved those films as a kid. But jeebus people we need to take Chris Reeve's own advice that- "Superman is bigger than any one actor" and that's true. Warner Bros, let's move the [frick] on and forget about Reeve and Donner. I want ZERO Donner influence AT THIS GOD DAMN POINT. This could be Superman's last film...we already had an entire DONNER HOMAGE with the last film, it's time they stopped worshiping his ass and gave Superman a good, last movie to go off on. And I swear if in this film Lex is trying to get real-estate again I swear to god i am going snap in the theater.
