Zack Snyder Confirms The Man of Steel Will Shoot In Vancouver

In an interview with the Toronto Sun Times, Zack Snyder confirmed that Superman will be shot in Vancouver not Chicago despite previous reports of productions being moved to the windy city!

A recent report stated that Zack Snyder might be moving the production of The Man Of Steel to Chicago, but when he spoke with the Toronto Sun Times, Snyder reveals that he will indeed be shooting in Vancouver where he shot Watchmen and Sucker Punch.



Reports The Toronto Sun Times:

Superman will touch down in Vancouver and possibly Alberta this summer, confirms director Zack Snyder.


Said Snyder about his Vancouver crew:

"I've got a great crew there."


The Man of Steel will start shooting later this Summer with a release date scheduled for late 2012.

The Alberta shoot will be awesome, though it will probably be Calgary over Edmonton :(. Still I think I would make the drive for that.

@ GoddamnSuperman- Brainiac goes to Canada and takes over a bunch of mounties brains, much like he did Lex Luthor, and has them attack Superman. Superman, knowing theyre canadian, straight up heat visions their asses, after a comical moment where they apologize for trying to take him oot.

I don't understand why cities in the U.S. make it so expensive to film there. Imagine this movie shot in NY! The revenue the production brings in seems to be worth it...idk, i just don't get it.

Vancouver is beatiful tho, I hope to move there one day...

It should be done in NY as it ought to be. That goes for Bats too but it is what it is. Next thing you know the suit and main theme be different as well.

I think the filming set will be a great idea to shoot Metropolis in Vancouver and it depends on the script what it says ? Thats up to Zac Snyder. You cannot make him do anything. That was his choice, if you dont like it, get over with it.
